So, here it is: my contribution to this site. I have taken time out of my life to Iso the heroes I have for you guys and I hope you find them useful. I am a student of the Potkettleblack method of Iso'ing which, as everyone knows by now, is free for anyone to try their hands at. So, I don't really feel like I'm adding that much. All my builds are in the old style of PKB though - designed to maximize general playability, in both PvP and PvE. I add stamina when needed. I'm more of a PvE player, but my builds should work for PvP. With the reactives, and their cost, I am building predominantly for where and how the hero will be used. I keep track of what a hero's passives are, as well as if they raise their own health or stamina with buffs. I'm trying to move away from chaotics, but they remain the best way to keep a balanced hero balanced, or to up the stats on a character with a lot of needs. Just like with PKB with alternate classes of the same uniform, if I don't expressly list them, are the same.

The PKB philosophy:

The goal with Iso'ing heroes is to get L300/L12 heroes to have at least: 2000 ATK, 1800-2000 ACC, 2000 DEF/EVA and 9000+ Health. 2000 in an A/D/A/E stat is more than 5 bars. 1780 is the 5 bar floor at L300.

I am level 300. So, all values are L300 reactive crystals. I may use some gold crystals, as I tend to spend, but only when necessary. Hope you guys like my builds, and PKB hope I make you proud, man. I'm picking up where you left off...literally. I'm only doing the heroes I a) actually have and b) PKB didn't already do. I might go back and add some heroes I iso'd differently from PKB but, that's not likely.

IF YOU HAVE ANY QUENSTIONS ABOUT MY BUILDS OR SUGGESTIONS FEEL FREE TO ASK IN THE COMMENTS.

I re-evalutate all builds at hero level 9, 12, and 14.

  • Note: Some builds are before the slight change to Iso values, so some of the earlier numbers might be a little off. The build is the same though, as the new values aren't a significant change. (ie. the ATK on steady went from 85 to 86 etc.)

Black Bolt

Blackagar Boltagon. King of the Inhumans. Reluctant polygamist. Powerful beyond measure.

What can I say? This guy is royalty and he plays like it. Despite a surprisingly low starting Health stat, Black Bolt's ATK and ACC are the truth. He hits (or speaks... whatever) and hard. With the boost to EVA I gave him, it really makes him a rounded hero with a couple of really nasty tricks. He's got a bit of support with his Ambient Particles (raising Defense), and his L6 disables enemies with Incapacitation and Buff Blocker. He's got his L1 that, not only has Deadly Crits, but also throws Off-balance onto his counter class. And his L9? Oh man... he's got an L9 that, when fully charged, is a Catastrophic one-shot K.O. (usually) that ignores defense. Ouch. An L2, L6, L9 combo can be particularly deadly. He struggles a little when his debuffs don't stick or when weakened/dizzied, but overall he's a great hero to play. Also, he has this new passive that summons another Inhuman that gives the team their passive. How's that for royalty?

Thane

Inhuman. Son of Thanos. Power over life and death. This guy's life is going to suck... like, a lot.

Yeah, both PKB and Shade have the same build as me... it's honestly the best way to go about Iso'ing this guy. He's a tanky blaster (a rarity in itself) and has specific needs. His EVA and DEF are the same, so I went with the DEF because, like I said, he's tanky and his shields need it. Overshot his attack for his L1, because it's just a hodgepodge of nasty debuffs all rolled into one so, you want that to hurt... getting the minimum requirement for the Fatal Blow is nice too. He's quite a potent character: debuffs/buffs, shields with no cooldown, healing, and quick action Despair/Nanoplague. Have fun spreading living death.

Moon Knight

He may seem crazy, but he's dangerously sane. He's probably the only sane one left.

My man! Avatar of the moon! Konshu warrior of chaos. How you do unleash kills! The first rule of Moon Knight is you don't try to control Moon Knight (so, that's probably a no for PvP). He's random. You go with it. You get results. Stack those Retribution stacks and unleash the fury. That's what the added ATK and ACC are for. Go with his class choices, don't fight him. He goes Cap? Use the L1, or L2 repeatedly then recharge if you want to keep some Retribution stacks. Spidey? L6 and put 'em to sleep and maybe get some combat reflexes. Wolverine? L9 and get those 3 stacks of bleeding instead or the usual one. While his base damage is not bad, he takes a second to get going to those extreme numbers he's capable of, but he'll definitely explode at the end. I've seen him one shot epic bosses. In fact, I played it a little cautious with my personal build cause I like health (read: not dying), but if you want a little more aggressive build...

That right there will hurt people. You'll be even more exposed when MK changes class in your opponent's favor but, if he get's it right you are set for inflicting serious pain. Especially if you have Combat Reflexes on him or an agent that procs counter attacks; most of his class based counters crit really well and his Generalist counter gives him max Retribution stacks and an extra turn... yeah. That's the power of the moon.

I've been playing this guy a lot more since I got his E-Iso. Without it, he's built in a way that isnt very practical and takes forever to get going. He has a decent chance to protect (with reduced damage) with his passive Energy Manipulation, which also makes him stack. I gave him the ATK and DEF he needs to be beastly once fully stacked... but he stacks in the most difficult of ways. He's really just a character made exclusively to fight Sentinels and Blasters, which I guess is canon. For general use, he doesn't really shine until later rounds, after he's stacked up... which his why I gave him the stamina. He tends to run out right as he gets big. You can replace the Stoic for another Forceful if you aren't down with that. With his E-Iso equipped, though... he's a quick build Bruiser with ridiculous damage. He's protected (in a way) from most blasters, as they tend to meet his protect/stack criteria which, in addition to his stack every attack (2 on the L6!) passive Focused Efforts, allows him to build stacks quick. He can heal himself for a few rounds with the Focus Energy mode L9 and some stacks which is nice. But he really shines after an enemy is softened up with the Run and Gun L1 which applies Lock-On and makes the energy moves really hurt. All in all, he's just okay without the E-Iso, and downright awesome with it. Until you get his E-Iso, Wonder Man is a much better option of this style of character.

Heimdall

Asgardian Guardian. Sight beyond sight. He's got a few things going for him. Let's investigate.

Heimdall_zps9b8d3743.jpg

Brother of Lady Sif, guardian of the Bifrost, Heimdall has a special place in my heart. I though Pym and Wasp's L9's were my favourite animations in the game. I was wrong. It's this guys Protect animation. He puts that hand up like, "NOPE." Talk to the hand. Love it. Despite the ability to ghost tank a bit, (he takes no damage from protecting) a tactic that has been eliminated since Playdom perma-cornered phased characters, Heimdall is really straight forward. He hits - HARD - with the L1 after using his L9 to boost everyone's stats, and maybe getting some enraged stacks. He's like the other Asgardian characters in that way. Despite the nerf that removed his ability to prevent the removal of his buffs, he's still extremely useful to any character who has Finest Hour. He's a Stamina hog though, so I had to sacrifice overclocking some stats for a usability boost. Get him big and marvel at the pretty 5-6 digit golden numbers he makes to match his armor. Nothing escapes his sight.

Loki

Yes, bend to Loki's will... Is this not your nature? Were you not made to be ruled?

  • 4x Powerful (Purple)

The god of mischief. The Asgardian prince of lies. Loki is THE Lie-smith. Despite his stats, his skills look weak, initially. It's a lie, they are immensely powerful. He's like a character version of the Synthetic Cube . I've shut down whole teams with his L6, Trickster Seal, and his L2 looks useless until you make a beefy character give you your whole life bar back then hit them with the L6, eliminating their threat. He takes a keen mind to use right. Knowing his limits and when to use what move is key. You use anything too early and he's out of luck, which seems legit. He's not overly fragile, but you don't want him out front. His Lie-Smith passive, while potentially deadly, is unreliable. As a primarily PvE player, I was tempted to give him some stamina, but didn't- he looks intensive, but his cooldowns and quick action moves help him balance out when you want to rest. You'll get your rest. I focused on the attack to get his L1 up to some reliable damage with True Strike, which is nice for hitting slippery targets. He is also pretty interesting built as a defensive character...

  • 4x Spry (Green)
  • 2x Patient (White)
  • 1x Exact (Orange)
  • 1x Sturdy (Green)
    • Total: +3146 Health/ +738 Defense/ +284 Accuracy/ +340 Evasion

His L1 isn't nearly as deadly as before and his counter passive also takes a bit of a nerf, but this build keeps him in the game a lot longer. Having a Loki that won't die can be devastating to an opposing team that relies on buffs to survive. Fan-girls (and boys) rejoice! Your favorite son of Asgard has arrived, and he's glorious.

Doctor Voodoo

Brother Supreme. Houngan Hero. A little complicated to use and to Iso... but the guy's got some talents.

doctorvoodoo_zps0f30e354.jpg

Been playing a lot more of him... and I've made some changes. The thing about Doctor Voodoo is, he has a few needs. He needs ATK for his moves to be really hurtful. I went with DEF over EVA since he phases, but he needs a boost to that too. He raises his own Stamina with Daniel Drumm,  the move that summons his ghost brother, so that's good. The key with Voodoo is to get phased quick. His Vodoun Crows summon doesn't remove his phased, so he has a couple rounds of decent damage and no HP loss (in an ideal situation, of course. We all know playdom nerfed phased). His L9 is basically Power of Four with a full team, minus the nasty drawback, so use that when a hero gets beefy. And let's not even talk about Doom Curse. It's devastating to those guys in PvP who like to shrug off debuffs. He raises his own health, with his L2 that has no cooldown, which is nice. Speaking of nice, I mentioned he raises his own health and stamina? Yeah, he does that for the whole team. He's a thoughtful guy for a Voodoo Sorcerer isn't he? They should bring him back in the comics, I think. Side note: I tried his L6 A-Iso that makes his magic abilities a quick action and didn't like it. It really ruins his phasing and extra turns system, while also making a cooldown for the L6. If you use it, I hope you enjoy resting or getting ganked by tacticians.

Spiral

Rita, my tiny dancer... How I love you so. Insane Assassin with killer moves. What could go wrong?

Spiral_zps0a75f500.jpg

First off let me say this. I hate Mojoverse characters: Longshot (who I expected to be next), Shatterstar, Mojo, X-Babies, all of 'em. I always associate Mojoverse with Liefeld and everything wrong with late 80's and 90's comics (I know it's pretty unfair). That said, I love me some Spiral. I know, it doesn't make sense, but I'm a fan. Maybe it's her name or that insane personality. Maybe it's all the possibilities from having those six arms... Excelsior, indeed. Anywho! In game, Spiral is a magic menace. She buffs, she stuns, she heals, she debuffs, she gets extra turns, she has moves named after David Bowie songs... she's your everything. With a little Health/ATK/EVA boost, she'll never let you down. High and Deadly crits on the L1, which can be too nasty when she gets Combat Reflexes. Her L2 used to be godlike. It's still her strongest hit, but PD nerfed Depower, which used to shut down practically everything, now only last the first action. But, next turn you can use her Magic Dance to boost your team with Buildup and hinder your opponents with Breakdown. Of course, there is a downside. I lied when I said she'll never let you down. All of her dances only give a chance for effects... meaning occasionally nothing substantial happens. She's also a tad bit fragile. Easy come, easy go I suppose. Still, overall she's quite the deadly diva, and with her Rhythmic E-Iso you can choose her L6 moves which adds a whole other layer of tactics to her. Shall we dance?

Moonstone

So... I need the Meteorite costume. Also, Dark Reign's Ms. Marvel costume, the Dark Avenger's Thunderbolts costume (black and yellow), the American Thunderbolts costume (skirt and cape)... well, let's just wait on all that. We still haven't gotten our Hank Pym alts yet.

moonstone_zps7bcb2475.jpg

Okay. Moonstone. I've been waiting for you. I thought the lockboxes were for Thunderbolts exclusively, but I was wrong and you were a little bit of a wait. Still, you're here now and honestly... you're pretty good. The thing about Moonstone is she's got two ways to play. The L1, L2, and L6 work great together and are a powerful set-up. Hit the L2 first to blind and become phased, then that L6 to make your (and your team's) unarmed attacks super meaty, and finish with the L1, which does more damage with phased and the Gravity Well buff. Then there's the L9... or what I like to call the Moon-Spirit Bomb. She charges up for a round, then unleashes hell on all your enemies (which costs half her stamina). It's a one hitter quitter if you set it up to crit. Both strategies call for a bit of stamina, which goes up if you use the Quick Empowered Iso-8, which I (and PKB!) reccomend. In fact, this build is built with Snappy Service in mind, so if you're not feeling the stamina, replace the Nimbles with another Mercurial and a Dexterous for maximum efficiency. Luckily, her other stats are okay, only needing some real love with her ACC and EVA (if you don't count being phased as a boon). Once you keep her from missing, she's a hard hitter with some debuff surprises up her sleeves. The passive debuffs can be particularly brutal. Always the head games with this one... the manipulation passive feels quite canon. All I need now is for Playdom to release Songbird and I'm happy. Actually, I'll probably just want Mach VII after that. The cycle continues...

Nico Minoru

If Deadpool and Voodoo had a baby... it would be this randomness. She's another Synthetic Cube

Nico's stats are a tragedy. It's pitiful and she almost looks like a lost cause. Just so you know, this girl's stats are so low, she broke the Calc spreadsheet solver formula I was using from PKB. Had to build from scratch, which was almost as painful as trying to level her while she's actively trying to kill herself. I've been using her for a while now though, and she's got a lot of tricks, which is nice. Stick Around, Kick Ass, You Suck, and Blood Sacrifice all have some nice features if you live long enough to use them. The real strategy here is to let her die, get the revive, and start getting those extra turns. She's a cutter, meaning if use her L1 or L9, she'll bleed to death if you let her. The setups she can do postmortem make her a potentially deadly character. That is, until you realize that she can only use each trick once before you hit yourself in the face with Voodoo's crows or Deadpool's nerf bat, which gets annoying. You can trade a Patient for a Forceful if you aren't paranoid like me about health (You really only need half the PKB standard) and feel you need the extra ATK. I can't say I'm too thrilled with her as a character, but she does deliver, and with this build she should be pretty useful as a support hero. She's also the first Runaway to be added, which opens up the door for other (read: more interesting) teen characters. My vote is for Hulking and Wiccan... maybe the new White Tiger or Power Man.

Dr. Doom

There is nothing in all of creation that can stan against Doom's will. Doom is SUPREME over all.

doom_zps4ddbfe05.jpg

Doom is the first of his kind. He's a basically a boss character (literally and figuratively) that the player can use. Double turns, 2 different stacks, a superhero heath stat (irony kids!), healing, rejuvenation, and a passive that pretty much nukes an unprepared team into doing nothing every turn and taking damage for it. Not to even mention his debuff potential with Chaos Shot, his multiple class bonuses, and his Death Star laser move that is ridiculously powerful. For a PKB build, he really just needs his ATK and DEF stats overshot to be ridiculously deadly and resistant. Some may argue for ACC over DEF which is all a matter of preference. You can go with the 4 Bulky like me or, if you prefer, you can replace  2 with 2 Violent or 2 more Forceful. You could also just go full Forcefuls or Chaotics if you can't choose. You can't really go wrong with this guy using common iso knowledge. Either way, Doom is a potent addition to the game and should serve you well. I mean, you should serve him well, of course. Doom kneels for no man. The world will kneel before Doom.

Sabretooth

sabretooth_zps093b0af0.jpg

Sabretooth is, for all intents and purposes, a beast. His stats are great to start; I really just focused on overshooting his ATK and ACC while getting his Health and DEF reasonable. Honestly, the guy is an animal. He's one of the strongest Scrappers in the game, but the trick is to know when to use him. He's the type of character to really benefit from his class bonus, so try to get to lvl 15 ASAP. A nice way to start a fight against a tasty little Infiltrator is a L6+L2 combo. That L2 can get some bleeds going and the follow-up L1 hits them with Ravaged and Pain while giving our golden boy some needed stacks of Blood Rage. With maximum stacks, his stamina consumption is irrelevant and his damage output gets to ridiculous levels. This is why even I, the stamina groupie I am, didn't bother with even one Stamina crystal even though, stat-wise, he's severely lacking. The L9 I think is overrated a bit, as most Bosses cannot be stunned. I can see it being a little useful in PvP as it does count toward his blood rage stacks, but with all the debuff/buff cycles happening he'd probably be outmatched. It also needs bleeds to do that serious damage. He actually needs bleeds in general to get really nasty, so he's rather useless against mechanical targets, like Sentinels or Agents with Fist of the Colossus or Reboot. Still, link him up with a bleed/shred team and he goes straight bananas. With all the Synthetic Cubes out there, it's worth mentioning the Exploit Attrition on his L2 that gets even more godlike with max stacks. Long story short; don't sleep on Sabretooth... or he'll gut 'ya.

Why Shirō-sama? Why do you use so much stamina?

sunfire_zps00e14811.jpg

My man from Japan. I would love him much more if he didn't us so much stamina. This guy is a stamina hog... one of the few characters I feel justified adding stamina to regardless of his purpose (PvP or PvE). You start the match with his L9 then his L6 (as you should) then you're done. One round, stamina gone. So, I focused on getting him usable and overshooting his ATK and ACC. I probably could have gotten away with adding even more stamina, but I digress. This guy's damage potential is up there with the greats and his move-set is self sustainable, which is getting a little rarer amongst the heroes as time goes on. His L1 gives Pressure Points and Burning, and his L2 has Paragon Exploiter and Combustible. Simple. Painful. All the while, he's building stacks and triggering Pyrophoric on everyone from his L6. Good stuff. Side note, it should be noted his L9 shield hits your team too (him included) and can be pretty painful at times, so make sure to farm Selective, the A-Iso that prevents that. On a whole, Sunfire is a pretty straightforward character with damage potential. Proof that the old style of heavy hitters from the original game can still work with the right debuffs/buffs/passives.

Domino

domino_zps4ec96dbe.jpg

Domino is an interesting character. For one, all her moves are named after Daft Punk songs for some reason. She's a little offbeat. You can't really get a feel for her untill you play her. On paper she looks one way but in the field she's... well honestly she's pretty good once her passives get going. Her bread and butter is Get Lucky, it constantly generates stamina and takes a reagular turn and cranks it up to the next level... most of the time. Her stats are good to start, and in this build I actually overshot her ACC to the ATK and EVA standard. ACC is pretty important to her character, as most of her moves get nasty with crits and have a chance to get beefy with passives. She really benefits from being a Blaster and is a fight controller though and through. Her L1 negates class bonuses, which is golden when you fight a Tactician that thinks they are going to run on you. Her L2 has a chance to become a quick action which can be very clutch. AoE debuff proc every round? Yes, please. Her L6 and L9 I don't use much, since I have the Synthetic Cube, but they aren't by any means useless. A well timed L6, with its Pressure Points and Rising Up, can shift a whole fight from imminent death to victory. Domino is a wonderful addition to the roster and a ton of fun to play. Use her with Deadpool for good times. Have fun getting lucky.

So, Bobby is here finally and, let's be honest, took everyone by surprise by being a Bruiser. Most people were confused to say the least, some even vehemently so, going so far as to demand a Blaster/Tactician/whatever version. But honesly... I kind of get it. His L9 shield and his resurrect ability are very interesting, and it's been a little while since we got a shielded character that affects the entire team ala Rescue or Magneto. The bad thing about Mr. Drake here though, is that he's is such a stamina hog; two consecutive L2's and he's done. So, I really went in with boosting his stamina, while keeping everything else up to standard. He is one of the characters that gives Exhausted, which is a great trick to have nowadays, and the deadly crit / Coldsnap on his L1 hurts quite a bit once everyone is significantly Chilled. I have his alts too, and while they have some nasty things (like the area stun on the L2, the Doom /Despair L9, and his Death and Taxes counter), I ended up missing his shield and how quickly base suit produces Dead of Winter stacks. I also can't believe they ignored some of his more extreme abilities in the comics, like the ice clones and surviving dismemberment, though I guess that counts as the resurrect. Overall, I like the cut of this guys jib. He's a solid character and his L2 Ice Capades animation is one of the most enjoyable in the game. Get ready for the deep freeze.

Is your Spider-Man level 14+? Does he have both his character E-Iso's? Then you might want to try this build. I don't use Spidey that much, and only have three of his alts, but by luck of the draw (*Vader voice* "Playdoooooooom!") I ended up with all of his (E/A)Iso slots filled, thus a really strong Spidey. So I thought, "maybe I'll take another look at him," and here we are. This is pretty straight forward. His Smartest Man in the Room passive, and the ability to apply Staggered with Entangling, negates his need for the usual minimum ACC. He also builds his own EVA with Spider-Sense, so that is pretty much taken care of too. Only thing left to do is overshoot his Health, ATK, and DEF. He really is a great character, the only thing I wish is that his L9 was AoE. Regardless, I like using him with geniuses (Like the Hulk or Beast) for the full effect. CRITS FOR DAYS. Oh, Tingly... with great power, indeed. Enjoy.

Okay, this guy right here... he's amazing. He only needs a bit of help to get to PKB standards with Accuracy, Evasion, Attack, and Health, so you can choose to overshoot one or two of his stats. I chose a beefier build with more Health, so he could survive with his 2 bar defense, and more Accuracy to help him with his primary function; Crits, Counters, and Debuffs. With Fandral, his counters and arsenal of debuffs are everything, so you have to make sure he hits and gets to apply them. His passive, Witty Retort , procs almost constantly and is definitely useful, especially with his EIso, but has nothing on his attacks. Let's start with his L1: Pressure Points ... always nasty, and Pin Cushion (which is immune to you kids' Bologny scrolls and your Cubes) and makes counters hit like trucks, specifically if the counter(er?) has high Accuracy like his buddy Hogun. His L2 is just... man... it preemptively counters everything ( a la Union Jack ) and dishes out Depower to all non-Stealthy attacks. Like the other Warriors Three, his L6 is an OP tasty beverage that removes debuffs and gives him health. It also gives the team Disengage, which will really nerf an opposing counter-based team. His L9 is the other star of the show; the max three stacks of bleeds in one turn, along with Tenderized just in case Volstagg is around and you want to rip someone a brand new, extra-large hole to bleed from. Did I mention it was Stealthy with no cooldown? I didn't? I guess I forgot to say it was AoE too huh? His only real weakness is being two classes and giving Infiltrators and Scrappers (Oh no, not Quicksilver!) their day in the sun. Yeah... this guy... just wow. You did good PD, you did good. I love my first Warrior Three... Another!

Volstagg

The... Voluminous? Ha! I love it!

Volstagg_zpsd50ed23c.jpg

The tank to end all tanks. This guy is the definition of beefy. His initial stats don't fight his purpose (thanks Playdom!), so you can overshoot his Health, Attack, Defense, and Accuracy to your hearts desire. He doesn't really need stamina at all (I'll get to that), so I went with overshooting a little bit of everything (he needs) because, you know, balance. With this build, he's healthy and can take a beating, but also dish out some of that Asgardian justice for gold numbers. His L2, ie. his protect ability, applies Covered, which reduces damage a comically OP 50% for your whole team, while also giving him Fortified (as if Covered  wasn't enough already). His passives make him one of the best tanks in the game. After activating his L2, he has a pretty decent counter chance when he has Well Fed, which is nice because his other passive is to chug his mugs (ie. proc his L6 with no cooldown) and get Well Fed, all the while restoring Health and Stamina (yay!) and removing debuffs (double yay!). His L1 is pretty straight forward with decent damage (especially for a counter) and bleeds. It also causes Ravaged and is a Hemorrhaging Attack, so successive hits get worse. His L9 pretty much obliterates anyone with the audacity to be bleeding or have any Paragon debuffs, and with a Well Fed stack it does a little extra. It's 2 for 2 with these Warriors Three, man... they're all positively delicious.

Hogun

The Grim Warrior of Vanaheim. Silent and deadly.

I love this guy. Counters for days, Pain everywhere, and when the L6 gets finished cooling down it puts Fumbling and Flanked on all enemies. His initial stats are nice, though I sacrificed overshooting his Attack to bolster his Defense and Accuracy in order to make him a more rounded character. I chose to really focus on his Accuracy because of the Deadly Crit on his L9, and because of Skirmisher, the passive he gets from sipping on his special drink. Like the other Warriors Three for their L6, it increases the base damage of counter attacks, thus making those crits even more intense. Well, that and he has both Wind-Up and Breakthrough on his L1, which boosts damage and allows him to hit extremely hard. Overall he's a solid damage dealer; he definitely benefits from his dual class and most of the damage he deals comes when its not even his turn. I did take issue with his counters using up both attack buffs from his L1 before I could use the L9 but, usually the damage at that point is significant enough that it doesn't matter. He may be a brooding pessimist but, man can he swing that mace... have fun cracking skills Asgardian style.

Agent Venom

The Soldier Symbiote. Don't lose control.

  • 5x Mercurial (Orange)

Flash Thompson is not really my favourite symbiote, but I don't hate him either. He's definitely the most unique... and well armed. As a game character, he's pretty functional. His stats to start with are average (3 bars in most things), so he wasn't that hard to get into shape. I chose Evasion over Defense because the stat is higher, and his Venom mode doesn't have Symbiote Shield like the Mac Gargan one. He's basically a setup character, which is good because we don't have a lot of those. His L1 is nice for melee characters and dishes out Wide Open. It also has Cornered for tank control. The L2 is the same kind of setup for ranged and gives Lock-On . It also has Disadvantage for class control. Both hits do pretty average damage, but are better on a follow up. His area L6 is his best move in Agent mode, dealing both Pressure Points and Hobbled, which is a saving grace when he gets Combat Reflexes. The L9 does the most damage with Deadly Crits, but it's a Desperation move, so to really get the super high numbers, just be dying. It also helps to have more then one enemy because it bleeds and burns the enemies it doesn't hit. When this guy goes Out Of Control though, which is random, he becomes a different beast. He's a Bruiser, His L6 is a Quick Action that gives him a follow-up attack, which becomes super beastly when you consider that at this point he could have Combat Reflexes and Enraged. His L2 regens health and Exploits Opportunity debuffs, while the L1 Exploits Shields, Paragon Exploits, and gives Shield Breaker. The real treat is his L9, though. Aside from the creepy crawly animation, it Boon Busts, Exploits Attrition, and Exploits Protection ... all while applying the new and improved, stackable Webbed debuffs. He tends to go off the rails consistently and attack whoever he wants, and with no shield or Impairing ability he tends to be vulnerable to Blasters... but the guy is talented, so if you aren't afraid of a little collateral damage, you might want to consider doubling the "Agent" quotient of your team.

Falcon

Aww, Snap... time for some death from above.

  • 3x Mercurial (Orange)

If you can't tell by now, I've sort of gotten tired of writing descriptions for characters, so descriptions will be getting much shorter from now on, or ceasing to exist entirely in some cases. Sorry. Still, I wont leave you entirely out to dry. Things to know about Falcon: He's Neurotrope as a hero basically. He has Rising Up for the whole team on his L1 and is an Infiltrator, so that's great. Friends In High Places cannot be removed (take that Blackest Void!) and uses the version of the S.H.I.E.L.D. member hero you have equipped (got Avengers Hawkeye / Black Widow? enjoy your Coordinated Attack). L6 Stuns and Exhaususts for those tricky fights with Tacticians. L2 gives you Nimble, which you should always do before using the L1 manually and Leading the Charge

Gamora

Deadliest Woman In The Universe. Period.

Really amazing base stats to start, with only health (and stamina, sorry) to really worry about. You could probably get away with a stamina free build and get her attack really high, but she would be resting more than fighting. Still her attack is pretty high, and with the modern outfit you can do an accuracy free build which boosts attack to over 2200. But she's not just a strong blade, she's pretty useful too. L2 has Mangle which is death to heroes like Rescue and other Agents. Stealthy Fatal Blow on the L9 seems almost too canon. Area DespairDoom, and Cower on the L6? Yes, please. Kevin Bacon would approve.

Rocket

BLAM! Murdered You!

rocket_raccoon_by_namecchan-d7ukdrq_zpsf3cc80e1.jpg

Don't call him a raccoon! Solid stats for a blaster, and an Evasion hero with Nimble on his L6. What more could we ask for? I was able to push everything over standard, with a focus on Attack, so his follow-ups to the follow-ups/counters of other characters are particularly effective. Like a bloodless mini-Sabretooth with Pain, Pyrophoric, and Melt Armor. He hits hard and often, but, since he lacks defense, his overall fragility is something to take into account. Still, ain't no thing like him, 'cetp him.

Taskmaster

taskmaster_zps4d95875e.jpg

So, I'm going to be honest here... I don't exactly know what to do with this guy. Taskmaster's stats are all balanced, but he's nowhere near as good as Cap or Magneto, so a full Chaotics build is out, unless you want to spend all your gold. However, I did have to use some to balance some weak stats, like Accuracy and Defense... and Health (y'know the less important stuff. -_-'). Nevertheless, Taskmaster seems to be a useful hero with all those abilities, but he's actually somewhat unpredictable, as you can't really choose what class set to use. Tactician seems the most beastly mode, if just for the Depower, but other classes stack and exploit bleeds, apply Flanked, Rising Up, Neutralized... the list goes on and on. So he's really good, but can't lean on raw power or high stats. My man makes many moves... but without good backup he might be very dead.

Anti-Venom

tumblr_m6hzfk46SD1rtbcayo1_1280_zps848af1ab.jpg

Meet Anti-Venom. Great stats to start and immune to most damage over time debuffs. The absolute master of the Remove Buff game. He really benefits from the re-done Webbed. An Opportunist who Exploits Opportunity, and delivers his crippling debuffs to all enemies. Massive bleeding and crit damage with the L1 + L6 combo, not to mention the guy has Purged and Sterilize on his L9 and preemptively removes class bonuses as a passive. This crusader is well equipped.

Sandman

Reformation in more ways than one...

  • 2x Steady (Purple)
  • 1x Stalwart (White)
  • 1x Bulky (Orange)
  • 1x Violent (Red)

Sandman-spider-man-villains-888604_750_1056_zpsee5e02c6.jpg

Average stats that can be built to perfection. Grit stacks and Rising Up make him even more deadly. Area Pressure Points debuffs and Finest Hour are the icing on the cake. This guy builds big and hits HARD, a true one-shot artist, the likes of which I haven't seen since the beginnings of the game. He's absolutely elegant in his simplicity.

Shanna the She-Devil

shanna_zps301633fc.jpg

Sad she didn't bring any pets to the party, as that would be perfectly canon, but when she gets big the damage is insane, so I'll forgive PD. Stats are really good to start, enough to overshoot the Accuracy and Attack. Counter game is on point with Winded on the L1, Berserk on the L2 and Combat Reflexes. L2 is Multi-function, so it also has goodies like Neutralized, Nimble, and Tiger's Fury. Extra turns, Remove Debuffs, and healing on the L6. Add the Naturopathic A-Iso to the L6 for a Quick Action heal. L9 rounds it out with Flanked. With the amount of damage and debuffs she can do, it's safe to say this lady is absolutely savage.

Drax The Destroyer

Nothing goes over his head. He would catch it.

Revenge never hurt so good. Great stats, plus Disabled and Hobbled... it's beautiful. Enjoy your bleeding party (BleedingRavaged, and Hemorrhaging for eons) and try not to get hit. Untouched and with his L2 activated every round, dude builds crazy damage and can even heal. Modern suit turns all Guardians into a Bleeding and Hemorrhaging monster like him. He was made to destroy Thanos... I think everyone else is in trouble.

Up, up and away.

Stats are average, with enough to overshoot attack. Not a lot of cohesiveness to this guy, but some building and damage. The L2 Kinetic Field is the highlight; takes no damage except psychic/magic, Prevents Debuffs, and gives Breakthrough. The L9 gives an extra turn and has Melt Armor and Wind-Up, which is nice too. I usually use those 2 together then follow up with the L2 alt (Nothin's Impossible) for all the Deadly Crit damage, or the L6 for all the area damage and debuffs (Winded, Off-balance, and Exhausted). Then I run out of stamina. The recent buff to him doesn't quite make him awesome imho, but his sprite is nice. Honestly, he mostly just makes me want Smasher in the game... have you guys read Avengers v5 or Avengers World? Go do that. Treat yo'self.

So, I don't know why they picked him, I would have preferred Songbird or Mach V. Still, his stats are decent and the guy can control a fight. L1 has Opportunist and all his attacks are Ground Attacks, so guaranteed hits that ignore Protect and avoidance buffs. Quick Action area Generalized and Exhausted on the L6 is magic. I gave him a little bit of Accuracy for the sake of his L9 that has High Crits and Exploit Opportunity, but an accuracy free build is not out of the question.

I feel like they missed an opportunity with this one... Not a lot of room to build or exploit with attacks, but she does reduce enemy attack like a budget Agent Venom. Not my favourite but has some crit capability, reduces damage while tanking, and can counter with the best of them. Tied Up makes her a little interesting, and the L9 is pretty OP with area Mangle and Guaranteed Hit, but overall I just use her with other Inhumans for the Opportunity debuff immunity, which is pretty useful with heavy hitters like Black Bolt or Gorgon.

ZABU!! FINALLY! Oh man, been waiting for this one... bit of a stamina hog but, the claws are sharp. Bleeding, counters, and stacks provide consistent damage dealing. He protects a little too and his attacks (L2/L1) have Impaired and Exhausted. I like that.

The Inhuman buff machine will make a man outta you. This guy has the master of passives with Intensive Training and hits for loads of damage. His L6 applies GroundedStun, and Flanked, so enjoy the ground attacks (L1/L2) that don't trigger counters or protect abilities and deliver Paragon Debuffs. To top it off, he's got a mean L9 that has Paragon Exploiter and Finest Hour. Before this guy, I was lost... now I'm found. For Attilan!

Finally M:AA shows some love to this guy... he's finally here and he's pretty awesome, even if he's a stamina hog. Here's a hint, get Quickening ASAP to remove debuffs, boost stats, and get an extra turn. The stake L6 is a super low stamina attack that has Hemorrhaging, Incapacitation, and Fatal Blow... so get your moneys worth from that one and the scrapper bonus. Exploit all the bleeds. Kill all the vampires. Seems legit. I mean, it is Blade amirite?

Bringing the pain to all challengers. Low starting health, so I really focused on that cause protect is so central to her character. She still dies kinda fast when blasters are around, though. Anyway, she counters and protetects like a baby WWII Cap with stamina regen and extra turns after her protecting is done. Her passives are pretty interesting too, making her immune to Stun / Incapacitation and giving all her teammate Bruisers a stack of Enraged at the start of combat. She's a quite the handfull, enjoy Impairedexploiting stun and combos, Intimidated, Wide-Open, and Deadly Crits. Also, it's worth noting that in PvP she throws Battle Vans for a dozen turns of so... there's that.

A welcome surprise, I didn't think they would round out the Inhuman royal family this quick. Triton is next I'm sure (lol). She's got low stats, but is actually a pretty decent control character with her debuff riddled catastrophic AoEs, her biggest boon being her Gale Force shield that procs Interrupted pretty regularly. Her L1 and 2 hit harder on subsequent uses, so don't get to distracted by the L6 AoEs. Try to get to Scorched from Burning before switching to Chilled and Frigid, or visa versa.

Honestly, I used to hate this guy, which is why it took me so long to Iso him... but he's grown on me. The Out Of Time mode L9, Timestream Burst, is the game changer with AoE 2x stacks of Timestream Displacement, especially if you have Manvantara or Baltag's Blaster (or any 40th Century Man set) like me. It gives Ripple Effect, which is an interrupt counter that's great for Infiltrators. I chose to iso health because if you do the math he has a regular heal equivalent of 5840, which is 1 Bar (and terrible). I suppose if you wanted you could exploit the extra turns with 4x Vigorous + 4x Masterful. As always with boss characters, you can go straight Forcefuls too.

Yusss... I really love this guy for some reason, the base damage on his attacks are unimpressive to start, but exploiting Ozone and the Static Charge triggers are massive boons. Not to mention with his double class bonus and Amped Up, he gets super powerful once iso'd. He has a bit of defensive capabilities too; love the shield and Covered. He also protects dying team mates a-la Valkyrie. He is worthy indeed.

I'm... kind of in love. Amora is a Free Action menace; she makes enemies tear each other apart with her L2 and L6 (both free actions) and has a Chaos Shot L1. Her L9 pretty much exploits everything, so really get those L1 shots going. She gets Magic Missile Charge stacks (up to 3) every turn (and when enemies attack each other) that, when used, make her L1 a free action until stacks run out, so it wont be hard to really get those red dots building for the L9 to tear through. Guard your hearts, boys... the wicked witch of Asgard is on the prowl.

The most bad-ass fighter in the game. He's got decent damage to start. He's got a guaranteed crits, so no accuracy iso. He's got all the necessary debuffs/exploits for a melee fighter (Combo SetupWide OpenFatal Blow). More importantly, he counters for days... with Disadvantage too, so no Enraged stacks to worry about. His L6 has Pressure Points, so the L6 + the L1 with the scrapper bonus really weakens your target. He can run out of stamina at the worst of times, so I gave him a little (you know me). Focus his Iso on attack and he'll do insane (inhuman?) amounts of damage.

Her stacks increase attack AND restore stamina. She is elegant in her simplicity. L2 for a shield. L6 for area stun. L1 for perfect shot and breakthrough. L9 when stacks are full for the area Catastrophic Deadly Crit. She stacks best with energy and electricity teammates, I prefer her fellow Runaway (and brother to the Vision), Victor. She's an anti-shield hero, with extra damage to shielded characters. She also does that Captain Marvel thing and heals from energy attacks sometimes. With her health and attack Iso'd right, she is a really useful character. It's also insanely fun to yell Hadouken! every time she does the L9 lol... eh, diff'rent strokes...

BRAWWWM! I hear that sound evertime I use this guy lol. He's got some powerful moves and probably the most unique use of stacks I've seen in the game (stamina boost ftw). Some useful abilities that can be enhanced with stacks on the (quick action!) L6; extra turns, health regen, and protect. The small stack limit (only 3) promotes mutiple uses of the L6, but the 3 round cooldown is a bit of a bummer (looking for that inevitable A-iso that reduces it). The L9 is area burning and Melt Armor, so the real heavy hitter is that L1, especially when it Exploits Stun from the L2.

I wish there was a good way to give this guy some stamina and keep him PKB standard, but alas... 'tis not meant to be. He builds his own attack, so I kept him at the minimum. He's mostly about debuffs and counters anyway, so that's not a really big deal. His most stamina intensive move is the L9. Not much of a damage dealer, but the area Pressure PointsIntimidated, and Shell Shocked are the real focus. He has both Flanked and Disadvantage on his L2 (and L6?), which is really beneficial if you don't get the scrapper bonus, because his L1 follows-up based on type and can really lock characters down. In fact, his L1 counters are really devastating when they stack, so even though his damage is not amazing for a scrapper, he's still a really great character. Protect him, get the L9 off early, spam the L6, and good 'ol Talkback should devastate the opposing team.

Young Sam Alexander... the kid gets a lot of hate for replacing Rider, but I really like him and I'm glad he made it into the game. I'm also glad I finally have him. He's a pretty straight forward character too. L2 + L1 until you have both Nova Force Mastery and Nova Force Control (which have no expiration), then pick your poison. L2 + L6 when their health is high and you want to do catastrophic heavy damage with Exploit Opportunity and Deadly Crits. L2 + L9 when their health is medium/low and you want to finish them off with Ignore Defense and Fatal Blow. He's got a little bit of a Stamina problem, but he builds to big hits and has an evasion / counter passive, Black Nova Helmet, that procs pretty regularly. Respect the bucket.

hulkbuster_zpshgwifdrk.jpg

Little changes to Iron Man to help him use the Hulkbuster a little better. He's still a stamina hog, so as much as I hate to admit it, most of my build attempts without Chaotics fell through. Still, this new build gives him standard health and boosted attack and defense at the expense of accuracy, which is okay because of Targeting Assistance. He puts on a lot of red dots too, which means the Unibeam spam strategy isn't the only way to play anymore. Hopefully you guys don't feel the stamina hit either (Hulkbuster form doesn't use stamina) and get those attrition deaths before you run out. Get his Overloading Iso-8 before and you have yourself a pretty nasty Iron Man.

Angela-Asgards-Assasin-Hans-Variant-7f003_zpswwakhiz3.jpg

Angela's got some moves... she's more or less a hodge-podge of the other Asgardian characters. She's got the Rising Up quick action on her L6 like Thor and Fandral (and Heimdall on his L9), which is the set up for her L9 that has Finest Hour and High Crits like Hogun. L1 bleeds and ravages like Sif and Volstagg. L2 hemorrhages like them too, and Removes Buffs. She gains health and stamina for every enemy death like Valkyrie, but only for her, unless the enemy was killed by and ally and had Mark of the Huntress from her L1, which also guarantees hits. This is why I focused on overshooting her Attack and Evasion instead of Health, and kept her at minimum Accuracy. In fact, Mark of the Huntress does a few different things when it's on enemies, adding Intimidate and Cower to them when the L6 is used is nice, but the Buff Blocker when the L2 is used and the constant counters with Flanked on them are ther real Prize. Top it all off with pre-emptive counters that also bleed and you have one of the most versatile Asgardian heroes. She also hits like a truck when she gets going, so that's nice too. A true angel of death.

Of the two Spec-Ops spiders, this guy is the clear winner. Though his L9 is a bit stamina intesive, his starting stats are legit, and he has a built in counter passive like Tac Grey Suit Black Widow, which gives him Combat Expertise every round and is basically like having a dual class without the stealth. He also has passives to proc Epiphany each round and/or trigger Meddling Idiot on an attacking character, nerfing them with debuffs. So the Doc is pretty active before he even takes any action. His actual moves are based around crits, counters and Bleeding. L1 has the standard Webbed, but also Fumbling if that wasn't enough. L6 has High Crits and starts off the bleeding with Open Wound. The L2 Exploits Bleeds with Deadly Crits and has Fatal Blow for that little extra push. The L9 I like with the area Impaired, Downgrade, and Hemorrhaging, but it is costly on stamina, so use it wisely. Which you obviously will... because you're superior remember?

So, this kid, I like him. I wish I could love him, because he's one of my favourite characters, but he has his share of issues. For one, he is unusually fragile. While absolutely cannon, this doesn't make him a great tank, which he insists on being, with his Spider Successor passive. The other major issue with him is his move list compared to his stamina usage. For instance, His L6 is a hefty hit, at 2000 or so damage, that Exploits Webbing and Stun. It also costs 2145 stamina, which is crazy high even for a move that good. Don't even get me started on the L9. Yes, it has an area guaranteed Stun, but it also does little to no damage, Kicks Like a Mule, and costs a whopping 4291 stamina. "So, Zforce," you ask, "Why did you build him the way you did if he dies easy and needs stamina?" I'm glad you asked. On his best day, Ultimate Spidey in an absolute monster. His secret is he's doing his best when it's not his turn. His high evasion and cloaking passive, Ultimate Spider-Sense, keep him from getting hit and it also counters with his L2. The stealthy L2 burdens with Envenomed, Incapacitation, and Straining, while being a decent attack by itself. Add Combat Reflexes to the mix, with it's increased stats, mainly the OP evasion it gives, and L1 spamming Webbed for days, and you have a untouchable tank that double counters and stacks debuffs while doing steady damage. I'd say that's pretty Ultimate... if unreliable. Hey, he's still getting the hang of this "Great Power, Great Responsibility" thing, so give the kid a break.

Well, she's a Hawkeye. That should tell you most of what you need to know. Savage criticals, (almost) never misses, and instead of follow-ups / preemptive attacks for days on marked targets, she gets extra turns. She's a little more fragile and much more of a stamina hog than Clint, so I focused on Health and Stamina, bringing Evasion and Attack to the PKB minimum. Unlike our beloved Hawkeye 1, however, she actually comes with the trick arrows we know and love. Her L2 has all kinds of goodies; Pressure Point debuffs, Stun, and Obsolete Tech are the standouts. The L2 Putty Arrow is probably the best, with Slowed, Winded, and Adhesive X for those pesky Infiltrators. Her other attacks are pretty straight forward; L1 is strong and has the Pinpoint Target on it for repeat attacks. L6 has in an area attack with Fatal Blow and Deadly Crits. L9 is the finisher for use after emptying your bag of tricks, high base attack with Paragon Exploiter and Exploits Stun. Pair her with her mentor and the Team Hawkeye passive will have you swimming in follow-ups / preemptive attacks. I like her a lot, but I do think they missed a great opportunity for a Pizza Dog summon / passive... Oh, well.
