Hey all, this is my first big guide I've done for this Wiki and I decided to figure out how I wanted to slot the Empowered ISOs for my heroes.  Superex did a fantastic guide about the how's and why's of each of the E-ISOa fantastic guide about the how's and why's of each of the E-ISO but I wanted to do something that went a little bit deeper on a character by character basis.  And special thanks to Shade99 for his New Hero ISO Guide and the suggestions there.   Please feel free to leave suggestions/corrections in the comments

The Class- and Hero-Restricted E-ISOs will be the ones listed in the descriptions, the general E-ISO will only be mentioned if important.

Please Note this guide is a work in progress!

Before I begin, one special note.  The Recovering and Sheltered E-ISOs are going to be left up to your own use.  Resting is something I do rarely in PvE as I'd rather use the Items that clog my Inventory and it's something that rarely happens in PvP as most of my battles are over before the 4th round.  I will point out, however, that they can be useful in Heroic Battles, Phoenix vs Selene one in particular, so use your better judgement.  Relentless E-ISO is also along those same lines but tilted more towards PvP use than anything else.

Iron Man

Available Classes: Blaster (Primary), Tactician

Available E-ISO:

  • Distant (General)
  • Explosive (Blaster)
  • Persisting (Blaster)
  • Unavoidable (Blaster)
  • Increasing (Tactician)
  • Protective (Tactician)
  • Quick (Tactician)
  • Photoconductive (Hero)

So with Iron Man, you'll probably be spamming Uni-Beam, so having the Distant E-ISO to increase the odds of its Deadly Crit is a gimme, but his Photoconductive refreshes Uni-Beam Focus, which is going to happen anyway (unless you get your buffs removed), is kind of a waste.  As a Blaster, losing the Crit for Radiation Exposure isn't worth it, especially with the Mk. 42 costume's L1 doing that anyway.  Persisting could be useful if you're running into a lot of Phased enemies, but his Auto-Targeting Interface passive makes his Hit Rate 100% anyway, so pass on that.  Explosive could work decently, causing Fire and Bleed on everyone, but it wouldn't be my first choice.  As a Tactician, Quick is a waste, since his only buff is already a quick action, Protective would interfere with the shield on the Mk. V costume but would probably be okay on the Avengers Movie costume, and Increasing is situational due to how it works in that you need to be attacked by a blaster first to get the effects of the buff.

Recommendation: Distant for all versons, Explosive if you have a second slot available on a Blaster Costume.

Black Widow

Available Classes: Inflitrator (Primary), Tactician

Available E-ISO:

  • Close (General)
  • Distant (General)
  • Lingering (Inflitrator)
  • Blurred (Inflitrator)
  • Reflexive (Inflitrator)
  • Increasing (Tactician)
  • Protective (Tactician)
  • Quick (Tactician)
  • Adroit (Hero)

Close will help Flying Kick hit harder, but Widowmaker put Targeted on the enemy, reducing the need for that and Distant is only good with Widow's Kiss.  Lingering will add some extra damage to her counters through the DoT of the Poison and Blurred and Reflexive will increase her durability against Scrappers.  Again, Quick is useless as Widowmaker is already a Quick Action and Increasing is situational.  Protective can be useful since Widow is fragile.  Adroit is a good choice, since it makes her L1 cause Disadvantage.

Recommendation: Adroit for all versions, than either Close or any of the Infiltrator E-ISO if you don't have Adroit or have a second slot on an Infiltrator costume.

Hawkeye

Available Classes: Tactician (Primary), Blaster, Infiltrator

Available E-ISO:

  • Surprising (General)
  • Increasing (Tactician)
  • Protective (Tactician)
  • Quick (Tactician)
  • Explosive (Blaster)
  • Persisting (Blaster)
  • Unavoidable (Blaster)
  • Lingering (Inflitrator)
  • Blurred (Inflitrator)
  • Reflexive (Inflitrator)
  • Attentive (Hero)

Hawkguy doesn't really need Distant since Pinpoint Target gives him a 100% Crit Rate and while it'd be nice for Arrow Volley, the real damage comes from Rapid Fire.  Attentive jumps his (hidden) Intitative stat up, causing him to go first most of the time, nice for when you start a battle and need to Stun an enemy right away or for if you want to Rapid Fire someone and not let them get a turn.  Surprising is great since Hawkguy gets all those attacks for the Stun chance to Proc on.  The Tactician E-ISOs all follow the same pattern as above, with Protective being the best choice of the three.  Unavoidable is pointless unless you're fighting Phased enemies, Persisting could be okay but all his Single Target attacks but it'll never proc with Arrow Volley, and Explosive could be good, I'd need his Blaster costume to test that one.  His Avengers Movie alt has the Infiltrator class and the remarks from Black Widow's E-ISOs apply here as well.

Recommendation:  Surprising for all versions, Explosive for a blaster, Attentive if you have an extra slot
