Marvel: Avengers Alliance Wiki

This is the first of a series of posts where I dream of the future of the game, and wish for new stuff. These posts will not reach the level of speculation, as these are purely things I would like to see, rather than anything that I think is likely to happen. So, don't even think of starting a rumor based on this and none of it is all that likely to happen.

Nick Fury Task Talk Whoa, everyone. Ease up on the speculation.
We've got demons. Let's worry about that for now.
This article or section contains content that has not yet been released. Some of the information may be inaccurate or is likely to change.

First things first. I am from New York City, originally, and even I think it's time to hit the road and expand the map a bit. The trip to San Francisco was nice, but let's explore the marvel world. With that in mind, I've picked things that I think will expand the world, rather than keep it compact.

Villians[]

I would like to see a lot of new villains. But before we get to who I'd like to see, let's talk about the Hall of Fame.

Hall of Fame[]

The Hall of Fame is where you go when you retire after a long and distinguished career. I don't know if these folks are distinguished, but, long service, you bet.

Executioner Defeated

Mission 5.1, 5.4, 7.4, 8.6, 10.4, 12.1, Spec Ops 3.2, 5.2

Enchantress Defeated

Wrecker Defeated

Mission 1.4, 5.3, 5.5, 10.6, 12.1, Spec Ops 1.3, 5.1, 5.3

Piledriver Defeated

Mission 5.1, 5.3, 10.6, 12.1, Spec Ops 1.2, 5.1, 5.3

Bulldozer Defeated

Mission 3.3, 5.3, 10.6, 12.1, Spec Ops 1.1, 5.2, 5.3

Thunderball Defeated

Mission 5.3, 7.1, 10.6, 12.1, Spec Ops 1.2, 5.2, 5.3

Vapor Defeated

Mission 3.1, 4.4, 7.6, 10.5, Spec Ops 8.2

X-Ray Defeated

Mission 4.3, 7.6, 8.2, 10.1, Spec Ops 8.2

Vector Defeated

Mission 4.2, 7.3, 7.6, 10.5, Spec Ops 8.2

Ironclad Defeated

Mission 1.6, 4.1, 7.6, 10.1, Spec Ops 8.2

Let's tip our caps to these semi-worthy opponents as they start their careers in broadcasting or car sales, or whatever old, overused supervillains do when they can no longer play the supervillain game. Because, let's face it, if they get used half as much in Season 2 as they were in Season 1, season 2 could be a bit of a slog.

The New Syndicate[]

I'm not saying we need a new syndicate, but the Syndicate was a convenient way to link all the big bads together and make their organizations and competing goals make sense. So, let's be clear, there is an hierarchy of villains. Three tiers if you like; Those who run things, those who run, and cannon fodder. So, for what I will call The New Syndicate, we will have the big bads, the unused Dooms, Red Skulls, Dormammus, Lokis, Magnetos (before he changed) and so on. I am not opposed to any of those coming back (in fact they should, because they are the big bads and it could be interesting to see them compete or interact with the new Syndicate types.

Malekith (Most likely, given Thor 2) Mr. Sinister (or Apocalypse, but not both or it gets too X-Manish)

Selene + Sebastian Shaw Baron Strucker/The Hive/The Gorgon/Kraken/Valentina Allegra de Fontaine

I like this composition of 8 bodies because it captures: Thor (Malekith), Iron Man (Mandarin), Cap and SHIELD (Best Hydra lineup), Avengers (Ultron, Thanos), X-men (Hellfire and Sinister/Apocalypse), and Fantastic Four (Annihilus). These also open the door to a lot more stuff, some in the game, some novel. We open Cosmic, the Negative Zone, China, Asgard/Svartalfheim, Hydra bases around the world, Subterranea/Sinster London or whereve Apocalypse has his city of Egyptian mutants concealed. These all have underlings and natural allies, which would make for interesting missions, chapters or even special ops. And, there are all sorts of texture from the Marvel universe that could be added with this group, from classic Asgard to Hickman's SHIELD and so on.

The Bosses[]

The New Syndicate will not be in every mission, else they will quickly head for the Hall of Fame and retirement. They also don't get their hands dirty when lessers can get things done for them. Let's take this apart, Boss by boss.

Hydra[]

First, The Baron is really the Syndicate member, with The Hive, The Gorgon, The Kraken and Madame Hydra being lesser bosses. But they can also throw:

  • Viper
  • Mentallo
  • Silvermane
  • Red Skull
    • All of Red Skull's goons, including Sin, Crossbones, Zola, and the S-Men
  • Kingpin
    • All of Kingpin's associates including, Bullseye, Echo, Hobgoblin, Lady Bullseye and more.
  • and a whole lot more

Hellfire Club[]

Aside from Shaw and Selene...

  • Donald Pierce
  • Mastermind / Lady Mastermind
  • Harry Leland
  • Casandra Nova
  • And others

Sinister[]

Sinister can bring an army of Sinster clones, possibly some of the stuff that Moleman would bring and...

  • Nasty Boys
  • Marauders
  • And a partnership with Apocalypse (See, this is why I think they can share a spot or split a spot in the circle of 8)
    • Four Horsemen
    • Genocide
    • Apocalypse Twins

Malekith the Accursed[]

I'm not the world's biggest Thor fan, and have never read a Malekith story, so I can only go based on some quick reading and the artwork. Art seems to make him kind of nuts. Reading provides dark elves and hounds. But we can have him ally with Surtur, Hela, and Ymir. Really, we need different Thor stuff badly.

Mandarin[]

Interestingly, Mandarin doesn't have a huge swath of Chinese undervillians. He had some minions, which, contained some Hall of Fame members, but had some new stuff. Also, he's allied with a bunch of other villains over his long career:

  • Living Laser
  • Ultimo
  • The Swordsman
  • Power Man (Atlas, Erik Josten, not Luke Cage)
  • The Unicorn
  • Yellow Claw
  • Fin Fang Foom (any time you can make an underwear wearing dragon, you kind of gotta, right?)
  • Extremis powered troops like Savin

Ultron[]

Ultron makes a whole bunch of Ultrons. Kind of like Doom and the Doombots. But we could also see him open up the Phalanx, and many were select when Ultron ran the Phalanx:

  • Xemnu
  • Shatterax
  • Korath
  • The Galadorian Space Knights
  • Drax
  • Gamora
  • Nova

Annihilus[]

Annhilus has the negative zone hoards at his disposal, and we could stretch this to include various Negative Zone personages:

  • Ravenous
  • Various Centaurians
  • Various Cosmic people he'd entralled, like Terrax
    • Great idea for lockbox or special op heroes... mind control by Annihilus, then recruited. Not that I think Terrax is prime recruitment material.

Thanos[]

The Mad Titan could be used as a conduit to all sorts of cosmic baddies. He's partnered with Annihilus, defeated the Beyonder, attempted to steal the power of Galactus, and oh yeah, he had the Infinity Gauntlet. So yeah, there's a huge ton of stuff we can put with Thanos. Logically, he's an intro to Eternals and Deviants, to Titans, to basically everyone bad in Marvel Cosmic. Boo-yah!
