I'm now at level 225, which means that this may be my last PvP tournament not in the killing fields. I may get lucky though, as there are some promised changes about level match-ups coming, which may make the killing fields an obsolete concept. After spending 68K worth of silver, which is now a precious commodity after the introduction of the second training room, on Antiserum Bombs, my armory bonus is:
- Attacking Offense: 117K
- Attacking Defense: 126K
- Defending Offense: 129K
- Defending Defense: 113K
[ETA: Those bombs became obsolete with a few days left in the tournament, so I wound up spending that again on the new items.]
For now, I am making only a few preliminary tweaks to my teams over last season. On offense, I have the agent in the Ta…

Without his uniform, it's hard to find a purpose at all for Beast, but with it he has a very specific niche. Making debuffs stick is very valuable in specific situations, such as pairing him with D eadpool against a group boss, or teamed with other exploiting heroes in PvP. Incidentally, there's an argument to be made that one doesn't need to level Beast past level 13, as only one of his A-ISO slots is useful.
ISOBeast gets ISO'ed per PKB.
Pestilence. I am assuming Tactician because I am building for PvP (where Infiltrators are currently little but fodder for Quicksilver), but nothing much changes if we go with Infiltrator instead.
There isn't any E-ISO that has obvious synergy with Tactician Pestilence, so we go with Relentless (for 80 CPs)…

I was creeping up on level 200 as the season began. Since the announced changes to PvP I am less worried about levelling my Agent. I am seeing more and more opponents with bonuses that are as high as mine or higher, as they have a full roster of heroes, or have them levelled higher.
I am using the exact same set-up as last season. Havok got nerfed, so I'm no longer tempted to use him, and not having to worry about him means that having two Bruisers is less of an issue. I'm doing fine on offense, and still great on defense, well above 40%, so I don't want to fix what isn't broken. I wish that I knew why my defense numbers were so good, but I suspect that it has to do with people running Scrapper Quicksilver and then coming up against tw…Read more >
This is the season of Pestilence, which actually forced me to change up my teams. Iron Patriot was not getting the job done by himself anymore once debuffs cannot be removed, and Emma's not aggressive enough to pick up the slack.
As before, I am using the same heroes on offense and defense. The advantage, of course, is that I only have to spend resources on two heroes (instead of four) in terms of ISO, E-ISO, and (now suddenly) A-ISO. I went with Famine and War. War takes over for Iron Patriot in doing AoE damage. She's nowhere near as reliable, because it takes lucking out and getting Trigger Scent and Berserker Rage going for the real damage, instead of just clicking on Overcharge, but she's really capable of making quite a mess even…Read more >
This is the PvP tournament that never ends.
Honestly, this season was boring for me. I didn't update my team from the last season in any way. Neither Doom nor buggy exploitable Deadpool presented any real challenge for me. Domino and Nico are Blasters, so they didn't pose any problem either.
So I've been putting in my five fights per day (and enjoying the CP awards). Thanks to the new Plasma Tube and Solar Shield drops I am now at a 82K/83K armory bonus on offense and a 103/98 on defense. I rarely run into an opposing team that badly outclasses me there. I'm winning almost every fight on offense, and maintaining over a 20% defense. On the day that they extended the tournament I was in the top 0.2%. I definitely appreciate the fact tha…Read more >
