Introduction

So, PVP 20 is going on at this moment. I am a bit late with this report mainy due to  Pillars of Eternity coming out.
My choices, my playing experiences are influenced by my environment and my background, so they might not be applyable universally.

Prizes

Regular PVP Prizes

I didn't look to closely to the weapon, but the Tactician Safeguard suit looks extremely nice. I am very interested in getting Victor Mancha after the preview from the Spec Ops.

PVP Philosophy

Goals

Vibranium is the minimum goal, but getting to Adamantium should be realistically within my grasp.
I have no goal to conserve red tokens at all cost this PVP so I will allow myself to spend a few.

Scoring

I do still believe that a good offensive team is the key for me to achieve the rating I need for the prizes I aim for. If I stumble on a good defensive team I'll sure try to give it a spin but I do not put much trust on defense.

Offensive Team Goals

Since dipping my toe into PKB one shotting combination of Sandman and Null I have a newfound appreciation for more offensive teams. Let's see if it works this season too, even after the introduction of Hugin Eye.

Defensive Team Goals

Try not to lose too many points.

PVP 19 Report

Hero Bonus

At the beginning of PVP I am still prioritizing Blasters > Tacticians > Bruisers > Scrappers > Generalists > Infiltrators. I am training newbie heroes (Angela and Chase Stein) as fast as I can get them experienced.

Armory

Upgraded to last season gold items, I am running 4 pages of Accursed Helms and 2 of Everlasting Brazier on offense, 2 of Frozen Corenrstones, 4 of Accursed Helmets on Defense. I do not plan on updating the armory unless a meta change prompts me to change the shape of the armories (then I'll use the 2G items accordingly)

Meta

I have no reason to think it changed from PVP 20 and the first days are not helpfull in sizing up the competition due to the high variability of opponents I'll face. While I believe meta could change during the PVP I'll wait for it to do so before taking action.

Offensive team

Starting Team

As in previous instances I'll debut the last PVP ending team and see how far it will carry me before a metashift.

  • Empowered Bruiser Agent with Relentless E-ISO, Mystic, Neurotrope, Scroll of Angolob, Custom Goblin Glider
  • Bruiser Nul Luke Cage with Tag Team E-ISO, Powerfull A-ISO on LVL1, Knocking A-ISO on LVL2 (artifact from a previous team up with Molly), Gracious on LVL6, Erupting on LVL9
  • Bruiser Sandman with Relentless and Close E-ISO, Pulverizing on LVL1, Gracious on LVL2, Powerfull on LVL6, Erupting on LVL9

Day 9 Team

After a string of 2 losses I found myself wanting to proof myself against Evasion, so I took out Sandman (Null has a pretty important Staggered effect on his L9 so I do not want to take it out) and added Gamora.

  • Tactician Guardian Gamora with Close E-ISO, Vorpal A-ISO on L1, L6 and L9.

Final Team

I went through a few iterations in order to find the team I wanted to use, but in the end I settled for:

  • Tactician Power Armor Agent with Mystic, Weather Control Device, Hugin's Eye, Scroll of Angolob
  • Bruiser Nul Luke Cage with Tag Team E-ISO, Powerfull A-ISO on LVL1, Knocking A-ISO on LVL2 (artifact from a previous team up with Molly), Gracious on LVL6, Erupting on LVL9
  • Sandman with Close and Relentless E-ISO, Pulverizing A-ISO on LVL1, Manifesting on LVL2, Powerfull on LVL6, Erupting on LVL9

Tactician Agent is a magnet for Quicksilver attacks, which get dodged due to Hugin; Mystic does a good job of both disabling a few common items (Cube, Weather Control Device, Neurotrope) and being ranged escapes oppo's Hugin. WCD and SoA round out the equipment with means to deal with Nul and Molly. The only change in Sandman is the Manifesting on LVL2, which allows for a few more crits.

Defensive Team

Again, no change from the Pre-PVP one:

  • Safeguard Bruiser Agent with Vengefull E-Iso (Big and Fast), equipped with Neuropurge, Weather Control Device, Synthetic Cube and Quantum Jumper;
  • Infiltrator FF Invisible Woman with Circulating E-Iso (Clears Debuffs), with Powerfull A-ISO on L1 and L6 (+ Damage) and Manifesting A-ISO on L2 (Epiphany)
  • Bruiser Molly Hayes with Close E-ISO (Street Fighting) and Vengefull E-ISO (Big and Fast), Knocking A-ISO on LVL1 (Incapacitation), Powerfull A-ISO on LVL2 (+ Damage), Bursting A-ISO on LVL9 (Shield Breaker)

Final defense team

I admit having cribbed this from a team which caused me a few troubles

  • Blaster Safeguard Agent with Phased E-ISO, Warbringer Axe, Step of Shou-Lao, Hugin's Eye, Cosmic Cardinal
  • Generalist Quicksilver with Morale Boost E-ISO, Puglist A-ISO on LVL1, Pulverizing on LVL2, Powerfull on LVL6, Pressurized on LVL9
  • Blaster Star-Lord with Phased E-ISO, Bursting on LVL1, Focused on LVL2, Powerfull on LVL6 and Cooperative on LVL9

I stopped logging data around friday 10th, when I had to skip two days of the tourney for a total -500 in defensive losses. I dug in and chained offensive fights for a final result of ADA, 2390 points, 516 wins, 352 losses.
