Introduction

PVP 19 has started, everyone had guessed Angela as the PVP hero, but the Destroyer as ha Lockbox Hero was quite a surprise.
My choices, my playing experiences are influenced by my environment and my background, so they might not be applyable universally.

Prizes

Regular PVP Prizes

They are all pretty good up to and including Hugin's Eye (which is getting some pretty encouraging pre-reviews). I have some prejudice against the Blaster Safeguard Suit on the ground of it changing the agent to Blaster. I have mixed feelings for Angela as a comics character as I cannot decouple her from the '90s fest that was McFarlane's Spawn. On the other hand some friends are telling me that they are liking her being used by Gaiman on the recent Guardians run.
I'll have no opinion on how she will perform as a game character until I use her.

Lockbox Hero

PVP Lockbox heroes are always much more subject to randomness than Spec Ops's. Since the amount of available boxes is usually lower than the required number to have the hero guaranteed, sometimes I happend to have spent a few gold to complete the collection.

PVP Philosophy

Goals

Vibranium is the minimum goal, but getting to Adamantium should be realistically within my grasp.
I have no goal to conserve red tokens at all cost this PVP so I will allow myself to spend a few.
Since I want to get the Destroyer with minimal gold spending (or none) I'll go for at least 5 Wins a day for either the guaranteed lockboxes and the roulette and will complete the "Path of Destruction" PVP Task. Since the Lockboxes contain Runed Metal (current Spec Ops crafting item) I'll get as many as I can before the SpecOp end, which might mean investing a few reds in "Path of Destruction" task 3.

Scoring

I do still believe that a good offensive team is the key for me to achieve the rating I need for the prizes I aim for. If I stumble on a good defensive team I'll sure try to give it a spin but I do not put much trust on defense.

Offensive Team Goals

I want my offensive teams to be able to win reliably in the Adamantium score bracket and, if possible, to make the matches brief. I still feel more comfortable with mid to high damage teams with the ability disrupt the opponent's defensive mechanics seamlessy.

PVP 19 Report

Hero Bonus

At the beginning of PVP I am still prioritizing Blasters > Tacticians > Bruisers > Scrappers > Generalists > Infiltrators. I am training newbie heroes (Beta Ray Bill at this time) as fast as I can get them experienced.

Armory

No big changes since Pre-PVP 19, I am still running 4 pages of Nova Corps Badge of Honor and 2 of Monster Jaws on offense, 2 of Kree Helmets, 3 of Nova Corp Badges and 1 of Accursed Helmets on Defense (put the Pre-PVP prizes on D, the Ai needs as much help as it can). I do not plan on updating the armory unless a meta change prompts me to change the shape of the armories (then I'll use the 2G items accordingly)

Meta

I have no reason to think it changed from Pre-PVP 19 and the first days are not helpfull in sizing up the competition due to the high variability of opponents I'll face. While I believe meta could change during the PVP I'll wait for it to do so before taking action.

Offensive team

Starting Team

Until I observe a meta shift I'll use the same team I did during pre-PVP 19. While it is tempting to switch to QuickLocke for quicker earlier days matches, when I might face opponents with much lower pvp bonuses, I want to keep the "official" team in to see how it fares.

Day 8 Team

I wanted to give a go to a more aggressive, one shot capable team, as I lost some offensive matches to what I believe was not enough aggression on my part.

  • Bruiser Sandman with Relentless and Close E-ISO, Pulverizing on LVL1, Gracious on LVL2, Powerfull on LVL6, Erupting on LVL9

Again, no change from the Pre-PVP one:

  • Safeguard Bruiser Agent with Vengefull E-Iso (Big and Fast), equipped with Neuropurge, Weather Control Device, Synthetic Cube and Quantum Jumper;
  • Infiltrator FF Invisible Woman with Circulating E-Iso (Clears Debuffs), with Powerfull A-ISO on L1 and L6 (+ Damage) and Manifesting A-ISO on L2 (Epiphany)
  • Bruiser Molly Hayes with Close E-ISO (Street Fighting) and Vengefull E-ISO (Big and Fast), Knocking A-ISO on LVL1 (Incapacitation), Powerfull A-ISO on LVL2 (+ Damage), Bursting A-ISO on LVL9 (Shield Breaker)

Final Results

Got a rating of 2273 (Ada) with moderate effort and unlocked Destroyer with lockboxes to spare.
