GOOD LUCK AND GOGOGO FOR ADAMANTIUM!

Adamantium League

General thoughts about PVP this season

Current Top-Teams

Most relevant debuffs

  • Meteor Swarm (Does massive damage, stacks and can't be removed! Good to know: Magic/ Ground-attacks increase the amount of stacks on the enemies!)
  • Depower (because it literally prevents all sorts of debuffs, once applied!)
  • Despair (prevents healing and can't be removed!)
  • Exhausted (no quick-actions, no extra turns! Takes out Nul and Molly Hayes pretty good!)
  • Shield Breaker (gains more relevance because of Invisible Woman and several new shield using heroes.)

Most relevant Agent Uniforms

Most used Weapons and Items

This list is always incomplete, but i'll give it a try:

Most used Heroes and why

Meteor Swarm deals a lot of damage over time and can't be removed, and if that don't kill you, his preemptive fatal blow attacks do. Better kill him quick! Also other ground and magic attacks increase the Meteor Swarm stacks on the enemy! Also as a Worthy, he is immune to most debuffs.
Her runes are very dangerous and can't be removed. Also they are triggered by her counters. Also as a Worthy, she is immune to most debuffs.
Why? Because the enemy team isn't able to remove Debuffs any longer. Basically, you can pair "PestiBeast" with so many other heroes (which spread debuffs and/ or Paragon Exploiter / Exploit Attrition). His generalizing L1 is quite handy, too.
He protects really really well and if he dies, he heals himself up and buffs the entire team, while the others protect him. Also he has a nice Area Attack.
She simply uses so many mean debuffs (in a subtle way!): Despair prevents the enemy team from healing, and if he tries to remove debuffs, doom will trigger and do massive damage. Also she has the nice Master Assassin passive and can fatal blow enemys with her L9. In addition to that, she also spreads Coward, which can prevent attacks from the enemy and is therefore really awesome.
Equipped with her personal E-Iso, Invisible Woman is like the opposite to PestiBeast: Your team is kind of immune to debuffs of all sorts (except a few tho) BUT: If you have to fight against PestiBeast, his passive is stronger than IWs E-Iso! Nonetheless, using her is really fun, especially for players who didn't manage to get the Mystic Weapon). Always try to Equip her with A-Isos, which make her Crit deadly!
Simply because of three things: Combo Breaker, overall healing/ Prevent Debuffs and his deadly L2 White Hot Iron Fist!
Survive the first round, and Molly does big damage in the second round!
He protects and absorbs health and stamina from attacking enemies, deals a lot of debuffs with his L9 catastrophic.

General strategic advices for PVP

in no specific order of importance:

  • For defense battles, you should setup your team either for heavy attack or tanking. Kill your enemy in the first rounds of combat or survive until your opponent ragequits himself or dies because of damage over time effects.
  • Make sure your team-agent-items setup and the strategic possibilities can be handled by the A.I. in defense battles. You don't want to make your strategy based on luck, so setup your agent in a way, that whatever item he uses, it helps the team or generally works as intendet. A well setup agent has minimized possibilities in choosing, which item to use. Experiment with Quick-Actions and Weapon-cooldowns and make it as foolproof as possible.
  • Once you found a good team combination for yourself, make sure to optimize/ adapt your PVP-Bonus. You go for heavy attack? Switch your hero alternative suits to Blaster/ Scrapper. You want to tank/ turtle? Switch your hero alternative suits to tacticians/ bruiser.
  • For every Season, there are specific favorised teams you'll meet more often than others. This season it's Quicksilver+Psylocke and different combinations around Iron Patriot and Beast. So prepare your defense team to fight against those most used teams.
  • Now, my favorite: Team synergy. What the heck does that mean? In this game synergy is the interaction or cooperation of two heroes and one agent to produce a combined effect greater than the sum of their separate effects. You can use synergy advantages in several combinations exploiting several different effects or passive abilities. For example: Your team relies on using similar attacks and/ or exploiting the same debuffs like Juggernaut+Quicksilver. Or your teammembers boosts each others attacks or empowering the entire team with a powerful combinations of their passive abilities. As said, you can think of endless hero combinations, but only few are synergetic.
  • Often it's very advisable to rely on passive abilities, which can't be removed. This way, your opponents can't weaken your team with buff removing items, like Scroll of Angolob (and really every team has something like this equipped).
  • Keep your classes in mind: You want to have a mixed team? Make sure the classes and abilities complement each other. So f.e. you want to use a complete tactician team? Make sure you have heroes who apply Off Balance to the enemy Infiltrators. Or you use a scrapper? Try to pair him with a blaster to quick-kill possible bruisers. Every class has an inferior and a superior class, so again, there is no perfect class-combination, but you can try to minimize the disadvantages by applying Disadvantage Effects or Generalized.
  • Don't let the game leave you frustrated and keep your spirits up! You log in to the game, just to see you lost all defense battles on a regular basis? That's normal and nearly every player has to deal with it (perhaps except wallet warriors). The answer is: There is no such thing as a perfect defense team, so be happy if you win a few battles here and there or don't have a lot of defense battles at all. Keep in mind: For every team you can think of, there is a team which rips it apart and vice versa. You want to win most defense fights? Spend money on the newest Armory Items, Weapons and the second training slot (but even that's not an always-winning-warranty). The best thing you can achieve is to win all attacks started by yourself.
  • The last day. I'm also not happy with that fact, but you really have to be active on the last day/ hours of the tournament. Every player who seriously wants to achieve and maintain a higher ranking is powerplaying in that timeframe. Don't know if Playdom has already limited the numer of defense attacks you can be faced with per day, but, especially at <300 levels, it's possible that you lose at least one defense fight in the time, you win one you started by yourself. That's really frustrating, because you literally can't fight against it, EXCEPT you win your own attacks really fast. So, at the last day more than ever, set up a team with which you win, or at least, loose fast. You simply don't have the time to waste more than a few minutes per fight, when the deadline approaches. Also: Don't start from the bottom. Try to achieve and maintain a high ranking in the last few days/ the last week with your free battles and spare your pvp-energy for the last day.

PVP-Teams

Nul, Breaker of Worlds + Kuurth, Breaker of Stone

Requirements

Both alternative suits for Luke Cage and Spider-Woman (I prefer both Bruisers)

The Idea

Nul pre-counters attacks and applies Meteor Swarm to all enemies, which can't be removed. That way the enemyteam will die from damage over time effects or be Fatal Blowed by Nuls L1. The stacks of Meteor Swarm can be increased by Magic or Ground attacks from all heroes. Kuurth applies mean Runes, which can't be removed also. That way Nul kills the enemies over time, while Kuurth makes the enemyteam literally kill itself with her Rune of Control, or intimidates and cripples it.
Because of the massive damage output of Nul and Kuurth the Agent can be used to increase the Meteor Swarm stacks and support/ heal your team.

Advantages

All the Worthy are made to be played together and are also immune to several damage over time effects. Nul precounters, Kuurth counters enemy attacks, with the chance to fatal blow enemies before their turn or triggering the applied runes. Kuurths L2 is magic (also a counter against ranged attacks), and therefore increasing the stacks of Meteor Swarm. Kuurths L1/ L2 also apply Shield Breaker, which is quite handy against teams with Invisible Woman.

Disadvantages

Both worthy can't heal or remove debuffs from themselves. If Nul is exhausted, he only uses his L6, doing no damage at all for this round. Nul's L1 can also fatal blow own team members while disoriented.

Recommended Agent Gear

A-Iso

Several combinations are useful, depending on your strategy:

How to fight against this team
  • Use Blasters, because this team is mostly used as bruisers: Good is f.e. Havok, because he adds exhaustion and leaving Nul useless, only using his L6.
  • Don't get fatal blowed and prevent yourself from Meteor Swarm stacks beeing applied: Hugin's Eye prevents your Agent from beeing hit (and fatal blowed) by Nuls preemptive attacks. T-Bolt Glove sucks Nuls energy if he (tries) to hit you with his preemtive attack.
  • You really can't protect against Kuurth Runes, but you can get rid of the other debuffs, she spreads!
  • Spread debuffs, but only those, the worthy are able to stack. They are immune to Immune to Burning, Poisoned, Radiation and fear, but f.e. not against Magic attacks!
  • Kill them fast or you die! When it comes to this team, you have to kill them in the first few rounds, or meteor Swarm and fatal blows will kill you. But how? Try heavy attack teams with your PVP bonus all focused on attack-stats. Also preemptive and counter attacks are useful. This team is f.e. worth a try: Quicksilver (generalist) with Star-Lord (Blaster).
  • Also use Nul and Kuurth, but stack those Meteor Swarms faster than the enemy by using magic and ground attacks.
  • Use Interrupted to prevent Nuls preemptive attacks.
  • Any suggestions to this? Please post it!

Psylocke + Quicksilver

Requirements

Psylockes Mental Preparation E-Iso (OR alternative Uncanny X-Force tactitian suit with Quick E-Iso if you haven't farmed the E-Iso yet)

The Idea

This Team only works as intendet, if you have the E-Iso for Psylocke. The Idea is: Beat the Opponent before he can even act.
Quicksilver gets the first turn and attacks two times. Psylockes Mental Coordination is, because of her E-Iso, already active. Because of that she joins, together with the agent, the attacks, possibly already killing one enemy or more.

Advantages

With the tactitian suit for Psylocke, things are little different. The advantage here is, that Psylockes Mental Coordination is a quick action and you are able to shield a team member in the same move, before attacking. Plus: Mental Coordination is applied directly before attacking, so it won't be removed before the attack.
With the common combo (with infil. Psylocke/ Mental Preparation) You kill single enemys very early and fast. The team works very well as an defense-team, because the AI really couldn't act wrong or make bad decisions. Both Psylocke and Quicksilver counter attacks. With the alt. suit for Quicksilver, even both Pre-counter attacks.

Disadvantages

Mental Coordination can be removed and psylocke (especially as an infiltrator) is nearly useless, since she keeps on applying Mental Coordination. In addition to that, this team is very vulnerable, so you should think of having an protector agent. Another huge disadvantage is this teams vulnerability for Iron Fist and any Agent with Raft Shank.

How to fight against this team
Since this team (with several minor differences) is by far the most used in Season 15 and 16, i want to give a few tips on how to fight and win against this team:
  1. The goal is to survive the first round of Combat. After that normally QuickLocke isn't that much of a problem. Of course your Agent is essential in healing and taking buffs, so at least he should survive the first few rounds of combat.
  2. Iron Fist and his Combo Breaker passive is THE answer to that team, of course with his Heroic Age Iron Fist suit and his new E-/ A-Iso. Plus: Both his classes are useful against "QuickLocke". He can follow-up attack infiltrator psylocke as a scrapper, but i strongly recommend using him as bruiser, since his defense stats are higher and he gains enraged from possible scrapper Quicksilvers.
  3. Raft Shank with its Combo Breaker passive. Same effect as Iron Fist, but for the Agent.
  4. Continuously Remove Mental Coordination and Quicksilvers Acceleration.
  5. Try to add some first-round-security. You could do that by using Savant or Reflexive E-Iso. If you have infiltrators in your team, i strongly recommend the Ukemi E-Iso, when fighting against QuickLocke and similar combos.
  6. Have you tried fighting with Deadpool? (Protects with his E-Iso, Doesn't die on the first k.o,, quicksilvers hitpoints heal him on his next turn). In general i recommend heroes which can survive at least one k.o., like Deadpool, Wolverine, Sabretooth, Phoenix, Nico Minoru and several others. Or have you tried Emma Frost with her Diamond Body reducing incoming damage and remove nasty debuffs like wideopen?
  7. Of course you could try combinations with phasing heroes like Kitty Pride (especially since she starts the combat phased with her alt. suit), Vision, or Moonstone. But the phased effect can be removed by the agent, so this doesn't solve all the problems you get with QuickLocke.
  8. If you have to fight against tactician Psylocke, you can use heroes, which Depower her, before she can use her mental coordination manually in the first round. Especially Anti-Venom is great here, because he has a 60% chance to apply it with his mass attack.
  9. Anti QuickLocke Teams:
  • A really good Anti-QuickLocke Team could be Juggernaut and Heroic Age Iron Fist. Juggernaut has a) high crit resistance and b) possibly gains Enraged from Scrapper QS. c) Also he exploits Psylockes mental shields and is immune to her psychic debuffs. Iron Fist profits from Juggs L9 Teambuff since he has only unarmed melee attacks and can heal the team and prevent debuffs like Wide-open or Combo-Setup. The Agend could boost that team with Dragon's Foot. For more check the teamsetup ´
  • Heroic Age Iron Fist (with his new E-Iso from Chapter 6!) and Kitty Pryde and Agent with Dragon's Foot. Why? Kitty Pryde avoids all incoming attacks from QS in the first round. As an infiltrator she provokes follow ups and with them IF Combo Breaker. Big Plus: Both Iron Fist and Kitty Pryde have a chance to OHKO enemys with their L2.
  • More suggestions are welcome!

Gamora + Groot

Requirements

Both alternative suits for Gamora and Groot. (I prefer Infiltrator Gamora and Bruiser Groot)

The Idea

Really simple: Groot protects, and heals/ buffs if killed. Meanwhile Gamora spreads nasty debuffs like despair and doom and fatal blows enemys. How you use the Agent is left to your own creativity, i would suggest to use a tact agent with Snappy Service E-Iso and 50/50 support and attack Items.

Advantages

Together with the Guardian Insignia Item for the Agent, this team is literally made for each other: Groots Well-Rooted, Gamoras Knowhere to Hide and the Agents Honorary Guardian.

Disadvantages

Once Groot is gone (which can happen faster as you like with stealthy/ catastrophic attacks), the Agent and Gamora are left really vulnerable.

Recommended Agent Gear

E-Iso

A-Iso

  • Gamora: Melee Crits!!!
  • Groot: Melee hits and rised Damage for his lvl 9.
How to fight against this team
  • Make Groot Cornered so he won't protect no longer. Than you can focus on Gamora and the Agent. If you can't corner Groot, go for stealthy/ catastrophic attacks: Groot won't protect from them.
  • Try to focus on killing one enemy after the other and try not to heal yourself (won't work because of Despair). And don't even think of removing your debuffs if you have Doom on your Heroes...
  • More Tips are welcome!

Pestilence + Red Hulk

Requirements

Beasts alternative tactician Pestilence suit!

The Idea

The idea is always the same when it comes to teams with Pestilence Beast: Your enemy can't remove debuffs and will die of them. Red Hulk is great to pair with him, because he can protect (and with that: absorb a lot of energy) and spread nasty debuffs with his area L9 attack. Also he applies wide open, which is nice for Beasts L1/L9.

Advantages

Red Hulk protects and heals himself while doing that. Beast spreads nasty debuffs and prevent the enemy team from removing them.

Disadvantages

If Beast falls, you could find yourself if big trouble, because this team needs the debuffs to work over time. A cornered Red Hulk.
Also: You need a little luck with the debuffs spread with Red Hulks L9.

Recommended Agent Gear

E-Iso

How to fight against this team
  • Go for Beast first, so you are able to remove all those debuffs!
  • Make Red Hulk Cornered, so he can't protect and absorb your energy.
  • More tips are welcome!

Pestilence + Nico Minoru

Requirements

Beasts alternative tactician Pestilence suit!

The Idea

The Idea is as simple as that: Nico spreads nasty Debuffs and they couldn't be removed because of Beasts passive coming with the alternative suit. In addition to that Beast exploits the debuffs made my Nico and vice versa.

Advantages

Both suits for Beasts have advantages: As an tactitian he could gain an extra attack. As an infiltrator he counters enemy tactitians who could gain an advantage because of nicos blaster-class. But: Because of the high presence of Quicksilver, i'd strongly prefer the tactician suit!
No Debuff-removal because of Beasts alt. suit. Beasts first attack prevents from healing. Nico is able to survive one k.o. and spreads a lot of debuffs. The AI is mostly fool-proof.

Disadvantages

As soon, as beast is dead, the synergic effect is lost and most teams doesn't have much problems killing nico alone, even if she can survive one death.

Invisible Woman + Falcon

Requirements

Invisible Womans Air Pressure E-Iso and alternative Future Foundation (Blaster) suit

The Idea

This team is, speaking the truth, not really based on syngergie (f.e. exploiting the same debuffs or complementing each other) and surely based on Invisible Woman and her E-Iso and Scroll of Aknazsak.
Invisible Woman prevent and removes Debuffs from the Team with her shields. Falcon provides the team with beneficial Buffs like Rising Up, Epiphany or Combat Awareness. Scroll of Aknazsak prevents removing the buffs.

Advantages

With an healing/ supportive Agent this shield-equippet team could survive several rounds while dealing damage. Falcon provides excellent tactical Buffs to the entire team. Plus: Falcons Survival Training prevents from taking much damage, if your health is above 80%.

Disadvantages

Any team with Shield Breaker or exploit shields -effects shreds this team (like Iron Man or Juggernaut). Also Depower makes Invisible Woman and Falcon nearly useless, since they can't provide shields and tactical buffs.

Recommended Agent Gear

Thor + Storm

Requirements

Several alternative Suits for Thor are possible. I recommend (Blaster) Mighty Thor or (Scrapper) Modern Armor Thor with Thunder God E-Iso and Electrical Current A-Iso. For the full synergie effect you need also Classic Storm (I recommend tactician) with Wind Shear E-Iso/ Snappy Service.

The Idea

The idea is very simple: Thor brings huge damage on single target or area attacks and, with full equipped E- and A-Iso, he electrocutes the enemyteam to death. Storm supports the team with her L2 and also shocks and damages the enemys plus adds Off-balance to attackers.

Advantages

Huge damage by Thor, continuus electrical damage by the whole team, chance to dodge attacks because of Storms L2.

Disadvantages

Protective Shroud, Strengthened and several other effects can be removed, weakening the team. Thor and Storm both can't heal, so you have to win in the first rounds of combat.

Juggernaut + Heroic Age Iron Fist

Requirements

Heroic Age Iron Fist alternative suits.

The Idea

This is one possible "Anti Quicksilver+Psylocke"-Team. Juggernaut can take some damage in the first round since he has a gread crit resistance. He exploits Psylockes mental shields and mostly OHKO shielded opponents. His L9 also boosts the attacks of Iron Fist, who can OHKO enemys himself with a bit of luck. Also Iron Fist has great healing abilities and Combo Breaks the joined attacks.

Advantages

Against Quicklocke: It's hard for Quicksilver to deal heavy damage, since both Juggernaut and Iron Fist can be bruisers and immune to stun, so Quicksilvers L9 is powerless.
Juggernauts L2 is also a great answer for teams with Magneto or Invisible Woman, so the team should work against not-QuickLocke teams aswell.
The AI should work nicely in defense battles, since both Iron FIst and Juggernaut have a relatively simple moveset.
Both of Iron Fists suits have advantages: As a bruiser he possibly gains enraged from scrapper Quicksilvers, as Scrapper you gain Follow-Up Attacks from Infiltrator Psylockes (plus you can use the Offensive Fighter E-Iso, which can provide you with stacks really fast, if his Combo Breaker procs often).

Disadvantages

Yes, no team is unbeatable. If you're unlucky Iron Fists combo breaker doesn't proc and you could still lose your agent/ a hero in the first round (so have an eye on your defense-bonus points!). But if you manage it to survive the first wave, you can easily destroy any QuickLocke-Team.
Also: Blasters.

Volstagg + Fandral

Requirements

Strongly recommended: Asgardian Tankard

The Idea

Volstagg protects the team and exploits the debuffs fandral spreads. With Asgardian Tankard, all teammembers gain their class benefits. Also Volstagg and Fandral have nice healing and debuff-removing-abilities and provide tactic buffs for the entire team (Covered, Disengage).

Advantages

The advantages are clearly, that all members of the Warriors Three are made for the common use and work definitly best with another Warrior Three.

Disadvantages

All used buffs can easily be removed.

Recommended Agent Gear

E-Iso

Taskmaster + Mockingbird

Requirements

I strongly recommend the Prediction E-Iso for Mockingbird. Also I recommend the Generalist's Empowered Armor for the agent. The Morale Boost/Empowered Iso-8 is surely a must use!

The Idea

The idea is to fight with three generalists, and therefor not suffer from counter-class-opponents. But more: Taskmaster spreads class-benefits (gained from attackers) to the whole team. Mockingbird automatically switches to the counterclass before her attack thanks to her E-Iso.

Advantages

It is possible, that Mockingbird gains two Class-Benefits: One from her own Mock Combat Passive and one from Taskmasters L9. Also both Taskmaster and Mockingbird have chances to gain an extra turn with their Tactical Insight-Passive.
In addition to that, taskmaster is able to heal, spread nice buffs and debuffs and surely can make damage. Mockingbird also is a feared damage-dealing opponent by many, once she gained a class benefit.
Another psychological advantage is, that the enemy doesn't know who to attack first, because both heroes have a chance for an, possibly devastating, extra turn or counterattack if infiltrator.

Disadvantages

Generalizing and Opportunity Effects! Taskmasters moveset is quite complex and i have no information about his AI behaviour in defense battles...

Recommended Agent Gear

Hercules + Heimdall

Requirements

I strongly recommend using Hercs Marble Counter E-Iso and his Guffaw A-Iso!

The Idea

Both Hercules and Heimdall benefits from Rising Up Effects (Strengthened, Agile, Fortified, Fokussed). Both heroes provide these effects, heimdall even for the whole team. This way Herkules gains Son of Zeus really quick/ in the first round after Heimdall.
There is no complicated strategie in this case: Heimdall prevents attacks with his L2. Hercules protects the whole team from the other attacks and counters them, hopefully devastating. Plus: Heimdalls L6 applies Wide-Open to the whole oppenent team, and Hercules weakens attackers with his Debuffs.

Advantages

Fast setup and heavy damage output!

Disadvantages

Vulnerable in the first round.
Blasters can really be a problem here, since you fight with two bruisers. Plus: If you don't use the Scroll of Aknazsak, all beneficial effects can be removed from your team, leaving you relatively open for attacks.

Taskmaster + Anti-Venom

The Idea

The synergie between Taskmaster and Anti-Venom is strong: Both exploit Bleeding and opportunity effects.

Advantages

Well, where to start? Taskmaster has chance to gain an extra turn because of Tactical Insight. Plus he can heal, Depower enemys and spread opportunity effects like crazy. The biggest advantage of him is surely his L9, with which he can apply class-benefits to the whole team, or provide an extra turn to any teammember. Based on your luck, he can followup attack with his L1 up to ? times, adding bleeding to the target.
Anti-Venom alone is a very strong opponent. Not speaking of his great passives (chance to heal, remove buffs from him, survive a k.o, chance to preemtively remove beneficial effects from attacker, immune to bleeding, burning, pyrophobic, poison, radiation) he deals massive damage and apply bleeding and a lot of nasty opportunity effects to the entire enemy team (with a 60% chance to apply depower). Plus he can generalize and punish the enemy, if he removes it.
So lets summarize: Both exploit the same Debuffs, can heal, depower and generalize.

Disadvantages

If the opponent is able to depower parts of your team, you have a big problem, because this team can't work properly without applying Buffs and Debuffs. Plus: If you add a few bleedings to Taskmaster and he follow up attacks with his L1, he can bleed to death very fast (and isn't ably to remove it by himself). Another disadvantage would be, if your opponent generalizes parts of your team, since profiting from class benefits is an essential part of that setup. Plus: Taskmasters moveset is quite complex and i have no information about his AI behaviour in defense battles...

Recommended Agent Gear

E-Iso

  • Taskmaster: Several Isos, are possible here, f.e. pushing his melee or ranged attacks. But i strongly recommend Generosity, since it heals him after a lot of his actions. Plus i recommend using the Morale Boost E-Iso.

A-Iso

  • Anti-Venom: Pulverize on his L2, adding Wide-Open to the whole enemy team. Focused on his L6, since it is just 1 Hitpoint.

Thane + Ares

The Idea

Well, this team depends a bit on your luck, since it's based around Ares God of War passive. The idea is: Fatal Blow the enemy to death with joined attacks from thane while preventing the opponent team from healing with Ares L2 (thank god, the AI works properly now) and Thanes L6.

Advantages

With a bit of luck, you can kill one opponing hero/agent quite fast if Ares passive procs. If not, you probably can stun (parts of) the enemy team or apply Despair with ares. Thanes healing/ shielding and Debuff-removing abilities are a nice plus also, but they won't prevent you from dieing over several rounds.

Disadvantages

There is one big disadvantage, which is also depending on your luck: Since most agents use the Synthetic Cube, they apply Disoriented. Because of that thane could fatal blow your own team members (and yes, he can join disoriented attacks on your own team). So keep sure, to have some serious Debuff-removing items in your agents sockets.

Ms. Marvel + Heroic Age Iron Fist

Requirements

Heroic Age Iron Fist alternative suit and Captain Marvel alternative suit

The Idea

There is not really one specific tactic that leads this team to win. Besides many other tactical advantages, the biggest is based on Ms. Marvels L1 attack, which provides the team with a free Buff action. Paired with Iron Fist and an Agent with Synthetic Cube, that means a lot of free healing, while still having one more move to attack, which also could be boosted by ms. marvel, who does nice damage herself (when equipped with her Fixating E-Iso).
Plus: Cpt. Marvels passive prevents the team from attacks that exploit debuffs, so you'll take less damage. This is of course just important if you haven't immunized to debuffs your team with Iron Fist yet. So double security.

Advantages

  • Captain Marvel does her L1 -> Iron Fists healing actions (L6) become quick actions, also the second and third action of the Cynthetic Cube and other Buff/ healing actions from the agent
  • Captain Marvel does her L6, applies Wide Open, which supports IF unarmed melee attacks.
  • Also her L9 provides extra damage for future melee attacks (again, good for IF).
Well the use of a fully equipped Iron Fist is an advantage in battle on its own. Paired with Captain Marvel, possible tactical moves are:
Besides this, Cpt. Marvel will be healed by energy attacks, means no problems with Magneto, Iron Patriot or Havoks. If you use Cpt. Marvel as a tactician, she can provoke counterattacks and therefore IF Combo Breaker passive, as a Scrapper with a follow up, she provides her snappy-service-like buff every round, which also means she can use her L9 also as a quick action.
And again, Cpt. Marvels useful passives and her ability to provide the team with excellent powerups, quickactions and extra moves paired with Iron Fist, who can both heal and damage in massive amounts is really powerful and fun to play!

Disadvantages

Beware of Depower, Despair, which could ruin your tactical advantages. Also every buff Cpt. Marvel applies, can be removed, making her a decent opponent.

Recommended Agent Gear

  • At least one Buff/ Healing item, so it can be made a quickaction by Cpt. Marvel. Synthetic Cube does really good here, because. Also Staff of Asklepios or similar.

Juggernaut + Quicksilver

The Idea

This team is just based around unarmed/ melee attacks and Combo Setup, which both heroes use/ exploit. Juggernauts also boosts up all of your attacks with strengthened and Unstoppable Force.

Advantages

The biggest advantage is: Big damageoutput at round 2, really foolproof AI in defense battles. Juggernauts L2 exploits shields, so he is a great teamup against QuickLocke and of course other teams with shielded opponents, like magneto, iron patriot, invisible woman etc.

Disadvantages

Well with this team you make big damage really fast, but on the other side, you really won't last long if you don't kill your opponents fast. This team can't stand long fights and their few Buffs/ Debuffs can easily be removed, leaving it weak and vulnerable. Also: A disoriented Juggernaut can OHKO your own teammembers, too.

Recommended Agent Gear

E-Iso

Pestilence + Havok

Requirements

There are no necessary things you MUST have in any cases, but the recommendet A-/ E-Isos really could make a difference here especially for Havok (see below)!!

The Idea

This team is based around spreading and exploiting Pressure Points and the fact, that they can not be removed because of Beasts passive.

Advantages

The tactic: Either havoc starts with his L6, spreading pressure points and exhausted (and, if equipped with the Ionizing Discharge A-Iso also radiation exposure), or Beast spreads pressure points as a quick action on his first turn. From then it's a cake. In the second round Havoc and Beast both exploit pressure points with ther L2/L9 attacks, probably doing heavy damage. Personally, i only use Havoks L6 until only one enemy is left, which you can finish off easily. So both heroes spread and exploit the same debuffs. Beasts also exploits attrition, in this case radiation exposure, which alone deals a nice amount of damage every turn.
Another advantage is, that with this team, the AI can't make big mistakes, but...

Disadvantages

...disoriented could be a real problem, since, using beast, your own team gets the debuffs themselves too. Because of Havoks exhaustion effect, most agents use their quickactions first (also generalists extended rest) and therefore won't achieve to use the cube as their second or third move. But thats not guaranteed, so there's still a small chance, you attack your own team (especially in def mode), probably doing heavy damage.
Also with this setup, sometimes it's possible to lose against QuickLocke, who could kill one of your teammembers in the first round. And for the full effect of this team, you are strongly dependent on all members abilities (Havok: spreading debuffs, Beast: exploiting them; Agent: Healing, removing beneficial buffs on enemys, doing damage.

Recommended Agent Gear

  • Hand of Apocalypse or other Pressure Points exploiting items. Since Havok and Beast both spread those debuffs, you don't really need a weapon, which applies it again.
  • Healing Gadgets like Staff of Asklepios for survivability
  • Synthetic Cube or Scroll of Angolob for removing beneficial statuses and buffs from enemy team.
