So who is actually in the Circle of Eight?

I'm assuming it's the eight masterminds of Avengers Alliance, but there are so many villains it's unclear who's an "official" member and who's not.

I know Magneto used to be, but got replaced by Red Skull.

Dr. Doom.  Loki.  Who else is an OFFICIAL member?

    • Dormammu?

    • you're thinking of the syndicate. the circle of eight hasnt been officially announced or even encountered. just vague references that its tied in with the occult. chances are season 2 will feature them

    • Dormammu?

    • The Circle of Eight probably refers to the Hellfire Club's inner circle.  A lot of former members like Emma Frost will turn up on the Avengers team, but they may just be referring to them as a part of this huge Syndicate.

    • Well i know that the offical "Strongest" eight marvel villians are Loki,Magneto,Dr Doom,Mephisto,Ultron,Kang,Thanos and Red Skull

    • Doom is stronger than Apocalypse? Red Skull is stronger than Galactus?

    • The Circle of Eight is Here, just posted a moment ago

    • Throw out Syndicate bosses, and start over. No Doom, Skull, Dormammu, Zemo, Loki, Modok, etc. circle of 8 will probably be a similar grouping with an avengers villain, a FF villain, an Xmen villain, an Iron Man villain, a Thor villain, a Cap villain, a Strange/Defenders villain, a second X villain. Maybe. Maybe something else. But you have to figure they will reconfigure the alliances but keep an avengers weighting to the villains.

    • Think Mandarin and Ultron will be part of this group. Maybe Kang will be a member too.

        Loading editor
    • ultron can't be a member cus c of 8 was mentioned be4 he was 'created' in the game but mandarin can be linked as we don't know who launched the attack on 2.6

        Loading editor
    • Wasn't it Ultron who launched the attack on 2.6 as he was controlling various machinery while he was still a rogue AI, explaining why Crimson Dynamo and the Servobots were going haywire?

    • wait really... in that case i hav to read some more dialogues

      lol sorry then

    • Anyone think Sebastian Shaw will be making an appearance in Season 2?

        Loading editor
    • Yeah, I'm pretty sure that was him. Explains the title, 'Ulterior Motive', and the Hank Pym deploy.

    • Nothing to be sorry about xD I couldn't recall clearly myself too

I don't see Ultron being a member of this Circle of 8, if I remember right he does not really go well with villainous teams in the comics, and the Circle of 8 was made before he became a robot. But I do think it's not the last to see of Ultron at Season 1 so he might as well be an independent party at the least on Season 2.

As for Shaw yeah, there's Selene so Shaw can also pop up adding to the Hellfire Club.

    • Perhaps we see a "Dark X-men" chapter.

        Loading editor
    • There's going to be a Dark Reign Spec Ops so that would look a bit ridiculous if Dark X-Men and Dark Avengers would be released consecutively

    • Do you thik it is possible for them to do a Marvel vs DC battle? Or perhaps do something along the lines of Galactus, (Giant Battles)

        Loading editor
    • I think this circle will have Kingpin and Mandarin, they are really powerfull in their own way, Selene, Osborn(maybe he is not being the goblin anymore and steals the iron patriot armor,  kinda crazy but anything is possible) and Namor maybe? I just feel like they would fit in this "Circle of Eight" thingie.

    • The Circle is a cult. The question is why there were mutant experiments guarding their symbols?

My thoughts is that they are related to hellish powers like Mephisto, Satannish, Belasco, Nightmare, Dormammu, Marduk Kurios, Nightmare, Umar... (these were the only eight I could remember XD)

      DC? No chance. Galactus? Possible.

    • I'm not being funny here, but I posted an image of the Circle of 8... well, 5 of them, as posted on the Facebook Page of Avengers Alliance.   It's nice we're all listing people but shouldn't we be trying to figure out who they are?   I'm pretty confident i've already worked out the woman holding the fan as Amiko Kobayashi... so.. who could the others be?

        Loading editor
    • Are they even anyone we've seen before? They did hint at new characters to the universe...

You don't read enough comics, do you? Magneto, the Red Skull, Ultron are not even in the top ten. You should have included Dormammu. He's more powerful than Mephisto and Blackheart. he even stalemated Eternity...How about Apocalypse, Galactus?

I'm pretty sure those are new thugs, as we've seen pix of them with different color sets to denote different levels of ability (like TA-Alpha, Beta, Gamma, etc). Amiko Kobayashi is the best guess I've seen, but not that character. Imagine being raised by an absentee Wolverine, the head of a Samurai/Yakuza clan, and the free spirited wild woman Yukio... you'd grow up kind of funky too, I'd guess. I dunno if you'd grow up funky enough to date a guy who admits to being turned on by a were-shark, but fortunately, we don't live on Earth-616.

    • I know this thread is old now, but I couldn't help but think about the Circle of Eight as we near the eventual release of chapter 2.2.

After reviewing the info that we have, Circle of Eight , here is my theory on the circle of eight.

There are lots of references in libraries and archives which suggests that the Circle of Eight was an old cult.  There is belief that the Circle of Eight has something to do with the pulse.  I think that Iso-8 is a result of the pulse which someone created using information that they gathered from the Circle of Eight or someone reforming the Circle of Eight itself.  The Circle of Eight is dedicated to creating and using Iso-8 for promoting chaos.

Now I think, what is currently happening is that there are lots of organizations running around trying to get information from the Circle of Eight so that they can use iso-8 for their own personal goals.  These organizations are the Hellfire Club, the Hand, Hydra, and others.  This will allow for introduction of people such as Shaw, the Mandarin, and the Kingpin as they start acquiring more powerful goons from what they are learning from the Circle.

I think we'll end up with a lot of people using the Cricle for their own gains through alliances but not actually becoming cultists themselves.  Those who will actually be part of the cult will be people more dedicated to chaos and probably followers of Blackheart.

    • Wow... where did this idea that chapter 2 is imminent come from. It'll come when it comes, but the more you believe that it's imminent, the more dissappointed you'll be when it goesdn't come until December.

Thread closed because it was a zombie thread.
