Mission 1Edit

"Lizard kings and super science create a deadly combination for the Savage Land's native inhabitants."
— Mission Preview

Mission StartEdit

Tony Stark:
Tony Stark Dialogue
Welcome to the Savage Land, Agent.

Maria Hill:
Maria Hill Dialogue
It's a place in Antarctica where--for a lot of reasons we're not going to get into--polar climate gives way to untouched jungle wilderness.

Nick Fury:
Nick Fury Dialogue
S.H.I.E.L.D. has maintained a presence here for years, but we're ramping up operations now because Sauron is making a play to control the entire region.

Tony Stark:
Tony Stark Dialogue
If that wasn't crazy enough, you're going to see other things here that you never thought possible. Dinosaurs, for one, and that's where our real problem starts.

Maria Hill:
Maria Hill Dialogue
Iso-8 fell in huge quantities down here, and the High Evolutionary has started using it to augment the local saurian populations.

Tony Stark:
Tony Stark Dialogue
That, in turn, has drawn other scientifically minded loons. They're piggybacking on the High Evolutionary's work.

If you don't mind me coining a phrase, we're dealing with "Iso-Saurs".

Ka-Zar:
Ka-Zar Icon 1
You're dealing with me as well. Stark, those Iso-Saurs are mutated Hauk'ka. Their powers of speech are lost, but they still possess their sentience. I fear their presence here and Sauron claiming control are not a coincidence.

Tony Stark:
Tony Stark Dialogue
Agent, meet Ka-Zar.

Ka-Zar:
Ka-Zar Icon 1
My father discovered this land and its Vibranium resources. Now, as the protector of the Savage Land, I must correct this imbalance of power.

Tony Stark:
Tony Stark Dialogue
We've got one more thing throwing off the balance. We believe Mr. Sinister fled here after our last encounter.

He's worked with the High Evolutionary before, and the Savage Land is a wonderland of genetic variation, impossible for a guy like him to resist.

Nick Fury:
Nick Fury Dialogue
Look for them, and you'll find the truth about the Iso-Saurs.

Deploy 1Edit

Screen TextEdit

Wolverine's going on a search-and-destroy. His primary target will be the Iso-Saurs.

StartEdit

Maria Hill:
Maria Hill Dialogue
Logan, we're sending you out solo to clear an operational space for our field teams to land and prepare. Don't start anything you don't have to.

Wolverine:
Wolverine Icon 1
I'll leave the locals alone. Don't worry. You know me. Surgical strikes R Us.

CompleteEdit

Wolverine:
Wolverine Icon 1
I found some Iso-Saurs and a few cavemen here and there. But guess what else?

Maria Hill:
Maria Hill Dialogue
Do tell.

Wolverine:
Wolverine Icon 1
An A.I.M. base. Population zero now, but you better follow up.

Deploy 2Edit

Screen TextEdit

Send a hero to scout the area. We know there are groups of escaped Hauk'ka Iso-Saurs... and doubtless there are other threats we don't yet know about.

Deploy 3Edit

Screen TextEdit

This part of the Savage Land is close to the border with the regular Antarctic. That makes for some unstable weather as the climates collide. Maybe Storm can settle things down.

StartEdit

Maria Hill:
Maria Hill Dialogue
Storm, we're having a hard time keeping Quinjets in the air because of storm fronts over the mountains. Would you see what you can do about that?

Storm:
Storm Icon 1
I will calm things down. But it won't last long. Where jungle meets subzero desert, nothing is calm for long.

Maria Hill:
Maria Hill Dialogue
Understood. We'll take what we can get.

CompleteEdit

Maria Hill:
Maria Hill Dialogue
That's looking much better. Okay. Deploy scout teams and let's get a more complete look at this sector.

Deploy 4Edit

Screen TextEdit

Satellite intel is picking up strong Iso-8 signals all over the Savage Land. Send a hero to get visuals on those locations and find out whether they're natural deposits or caches Stegron has hidden away.

Deploy 5Edit

Screen TextEdit

Our mission here will go much more smoothly if we make some friends among all the various populations who aren't already allied with our enemies. Send a hero to reach out and make friendly contacts.

StartEdit

Agent Coulson:
Agent Coulson Dialogue
The more we can get the Savage Land's indigenous populations on our side, the more effective we'll be countering threats.

So let's do a little diplomacy. Meet local leaders, explain what we're doing here, ask people to get on board.

CompleteEdit

Agent Coulson:
Agent Coulson Dialogue
No fights yet? Okay. That's a good start.

MiniBoss - LizardEdit

RevealEdit

Maria Hill:
Maria Hill Dialogue
That's the Lizard, isn't it?

Agent Coulson:
Agent Coulson Dialogue
It is. He must see the Iso-Saurs as a way to empower himself.

Ka-Zar:
Ka-Zar Icon 1
The Lizard is not a true saurian. Sauron has already threatened him with death if he does not leave the Savage Land.

Tony Stark:
Tony Stark Dialogue
Intel suggests the Lizard doesn't care. He is controlling some of the High Evolutionary's Iso-Saurs. He'll use them to try to carve out his own territory.

Ka-Zar, his ability to control reptiles makes him a serious threat. Take him out now before he gets settled in.

Ka-Zar:
Ka-Zar Icon 1
One hesitates to do Sauron this favor, but it's probably best.

StartEdit

Ka-Zar:
Ka-Zar Icon 1
Free your Hauk'ka and yield. That is my first and only offer.

You don't run the Savage Land, Ka-Zar. Soon, neither will Sauron. This place and its resources belong to those who can take it. Lizard:
Lizard Icon

Ka-Zar:
Ka-Zar Icon 1
It belongs to no one, Lizard. The Savage Land will be free. Free of you, to begin with.

Never thought I'd see you and Sauron on the same side. Lizard:
Lizard Icon

Ka-Zar:
Ka-Zar Icon 1
If that is your understanding, you are mistaken. We have a common enemy, but I would wear a suit and tie before I would ally with Sauron. Once I have defeated you, it will be his turn.

No! In New York I am a monster... here I will be a king! Lizard:
Lizard Icon

LoseEdit

You've learned not to cross the Lizard. Sauron will soon learn the same! Lizard:
Lizard Icon

RepeatEdit

Ka-Zar:
Ka-Zar Icon 1
Lizard, on this Sauron and I agree: You must leave the Savage Land. Now!

CompleteEdit

Ka-Zar:
Ka-Zar Icon 1
The Lizard used his Iso-Saurs to cover his escape. I shall pursue. He will not be able to evade me for long.

Maria Hill:
Maria Hill Dialogue
Where's he going to go? No place in the Savage Land will be safe.

Tony Stark:
Tony Stark Dialogue
He's resourceful. He'll figure something out. Next thing you know he'll turn up in New York with Iso-Rats or something.

Agent Coulson:
Agent Coulson Dialogue
Iso-Roaches.

Maria Hill:
Maria Hill Dialogue
No. No no no. Bite your tongue.

MiniBoss - VultureEdit

RevealEdit

Tony Stark:
Tony Stark Dialogue
Vulture. Did someone bring him in for tech support? Can't imagine he has any special genetic expertise. Unless the High Evolutionary wants to build new line of super-powered geriatric dinosaurs.

Agent Coulson:
Agent Coulson Dialogue
He and the Lizard have a history together going all the way back to the first incarnation of the Sinister Six. It's probably that simple.

Nick Fury:
Nick Fury Dialogue
That would be my guess, too. Either way, we clear him out. Ka-Zar?

StartEdit

Hey, Tarzan. Do that yodeling thing. Where's Cheetah? Vulture:
Vulture Icon

Ka-Zar:
Ka-Zar Icon 1
I have no cheetah. Instead, I have Zabu. At him!

Ahhh! It's only a joke, you fool...! Wait! Nice kitty? Vulture:
Vulture Icon

LoseEdit

The Savage Land isn't going to stay savage forever. Progress is coming. You can't stop it. Vulture:
Vulture Icon

RepeatEdit

Ka-Zar:
Ka-Zar Icon 1
Zabu, after him!

CompleteEdit

Ka-Zar:
Ka-Zar Icon 1
Vulture released all the Iso-Saurs from their pens into the wild before he fled.

Agent Coulson:
Agent Coulson Dialogue
Field teams are going after them, Ka-Zar. We're also seeing Incursion sites throughout the Savage Land, and we're trying to contain those, too.

Ka-Zar:
Ka-Zar Icon 1
I will help.

Agent Coulson:
Agent Coulson Dialogue
Let us handle that. You keep clearing these labs where the Iso-Saurs are being created.

Tony Stark:
Tony Stark Dialogue
I have something to confess. I'm a little disappointed you didn't yodel. But Zabu does a mean meow.

Boss - StegronEdit

RevealEdit

Ka-Zar:
Ka-Zar Icon 1
I have tracked some of the Iso-Saurs from Vulture's laboratory to this one... but I have not found Mr. Sinister. Instead, Stegron is here!

Maria Hill:
Maria Hill Dialogue
That's our new mission priority, then. If we give him time, he'll be creating new species faster than we can catch them.

Tony Stark:
Tony Stark Dialogue
He'll also start a war with Sauron. There is no love between those two at all. If that happens, we'll have too many fires to put out. Nail him.

Ka-Zar:
Ka-Zar Icon 1
Agent, the Savage Land is depending on us.

StartEdit

I should have expected to sssee you. Are you here to tell me I shouldn't ssstart trouble? I should accept Sssauron as the leader of the Sssavage Land? Stegron:
Stegron Icon

Ka-Zar:
Ka-Zar Icon 1
Hardly. I wouldn't expect anyone sane to believe in Sauron as a leader.

On the other hand, you are hardly a better choice.

Ssso it'ssss a fight you have come for. You will have it! Sssaurians need no mammals to lead us! Stegron:
Stegron Icon

Ka-Zar:
Ka-Zar Icon 1
Nor do mammals have need of saurian tyranny. The Savage Land deserves peace, and that is not what you bring.

O mighty protector! Yesss... so be it. The Sssavage Land will be mine... and you will be a meal for these evolved Hauk'ka. Stegron:
Stegron Icon

In-FightEdit

You're doomed already, Ka-Zar. No matter what happensss here, no matter what Sssauron believes... the Sssavage Land will belong to me.

I have powerful friendsss, and you have... who? SSS.H.I.E.L.D.? They'll abandon you the minute Nick Fury sssees a problem back in New York.

Stegron:
Stegron Icon

LoseEdit

Running around in a loincloth with a tiger is a boy'sss fantasssy, Ka-Zar. The war for the Sssavage Land will be fought by adults. Stegron:
Stegron Icon

RepeatEdit

Ka-Zar:
Ka-Zar Icon 1
Are the Iso-Saurs still hungry? I only ask because Zabu is. At them, Zabu!

CompleteEdit

Ka-Zar:
Ka-Zar Icon 1
S.H.I.E.L.D., I cannot contain all the Iso-Saurs coming out of this bunker.

Maria Hill:
Maria Hill Dialogue
We're on our way. We'll catch as many as we can. What's Stegron's status?

Ka-Zar:
Ka-Zar Icon 1
He fled. He knows the Savage Land well enough that he may be able to hide for some time.

Maria Hill:
Maria Hill Dialogue
We'll keep an eye out for him... but maybe we can just let Sauron find him first.

Tony Stark:
Tony Stark Dialogue
That was cold.

Mission CompleteEdit

Tony Stark:
Tony Stark Dialogue
Well, we haven't seen Mr. Sinister yet, but we might have learned something just as important.

Maria Hill:
Maria Hill Dialogue
Iso-8 is causing discord in the Savage Land... just like everywhere else.

Stegron wants to run it himself. The Lizard wants a piece of it too. Vulture's here testing Iso-8 compounds on the saurians... for a third party?

Agent Coulson:
Agent Coulson Dialogue
Could be. We've got our work cut out for us.

Ka-Zar:
Ka-Zar Icon 1
Stark, my misgivings about Sauron were justified. He is gathering the Iso-Saurs and has found a means to control them.

Tony Stark:
Tony Stark Dialogue
Then we better pay him a visit next.

Ka-Zar:
Ka-Zar Icon 1
I have done so. The results were... less than ideal, shall we say.

Agent Coulson:
Agent Coulson Dialogue
So it looks like we're going to have to take the direct approach.

Group Boss - High EvolutionaryEdit

RevealEdit

Tony Stark:
Tony Stark Dialogue
Stegron, Sauron, the Lizard, and Mr. Sinister... you'd think we have enough targets. But our real problem is the High Evolutionary.

Agent Coulson:
Agent Coulson Dialogue
He's the one working his genetic hoodoo on some of the local fauna. That's the source of the conflict.

Maria Hill:
Maria Hill Dialogue
Forcing evolution forward in a controlled environment. This would be interesting if he wasn't so dangerous.

Tony Stark:
Tony Stark Dialogue
Maybe the most interesting thing about ol' Herbert Wyndham is he got started on his whole evolution kick courtesy of... anyone? Bueller?

Agent Coulson:
Agent Coulson Dialogue
Well, that would be Mr. Sinister, wouldn't it?

Tony Stark:
Tony Stark Dialogue
You are correct! Which makes it mighty interesting that we came down here chasing Sinister and now we're seeing the High Evolutionary.

Maria Hill:
Maria Hill Dialogue
Let's put those pieces together.

Mission 2Edit

"The struggle for supremacy in the Savage Land has made for some strange bedfellows. Trace the lines back to the ring leaders."
— Mission Preview

Mission StartEdit

Maria Hill:
Maria Hill Dialogue
We're not done here yet. Sauron has gotten control of the Iso-Saurs. He'll use them as his private army to dominate the Savage Land.

Tony Stark:
Tony Stark Dialogue
Next thing you know, he'll be welcoming Sinister and Sugar Man back in, so they can turn the Savage Land into their own personal experimental lab.

Or worse, he'll put the rest of the local saurians under the High Evolutionary's control.

Ka-Zar:
Ka-Zar Icon 1
I will try to get to Sauron, but he will not be working alone.

Maria Hill:
Maria Hill Dialogue
We'll round up Iso-Saurs as we find them. Agent, let's get moving.

Deploy 1Edit

Screen TextEdit

We're finding abandoned bases in the area where we first encountered A.I.M.. Check them out and make sure there's nothing left behind that can fall into the wrong hands.

StartEdit

Agent Coulson:
Agent Coulson Dialogue
We need to be vigilant about letting stray Iso-8 or technical equipment get into the hands of people who don't know how to use it.

CompleteEdit

Agent Coulson:
Agent Coulson Dialogue
The Lizard was here, and not too long ago. Stay on his trail. If he's still in the Savage Land, he's doing a good job of hiding it.

Deploy 2Edit

Screen TextEdit

We've recovered incomplete experiments from the A.I.M. lab Wolverine decommissioned. Put Beast to work analyzing it.

StartEdit

Beast:
Beast Icon 1
Inscrutable A.I.M. toys for me to decipher? I'm a kid in a candy store.

CompleteEdit

Beast:
Beast Icon 1
Most of it's the usual A.I.M. gimcrackery: guns, force field projectors, typical weapons workshop flotsam.

But there are a couple of doodads here that look like they're meant for spatial disruption. Let me look into it more.

Deploy 3Edit

Screen TextEdit

Here's another ruined structure with what might be a mother lode of new tech. Hank Pym might be the guy to sift through it and see what's of use.

StartEdit

Tony Stark:
Tony Stark Dialogue
Hank, there's a strange ruin here that didn't show up on our initial satellite scans. There's definitely advanced tech, but we won't know the origin until someone takes a look.

Hank Pym:
Hank Pym Icon 1
I'm flattered you thought of me, Tony.

Tony Stark:
Tony Stark Dialogue
Well, Beast was busy. Have at it.

CompleteEdit

Hank Pym:
Hank Pym Icon 1
It's not A.I.M. or HYDRA. Doesn't look like the kind of genetic lab Sinister would put together, either.

My guess is it's an Incursion site that the Iso-Saurs got to before we found it.

I'm bringing back some items of particular interest.

Deploy 4Edit

Screen TextEdit

It's been a while since we've seen Stegron. Reach out to some of the locals and see if anyone's had any interaction with him.

StartEdit

Tony Stark:
Tony Stark Dialogue
There's no way Stegron just pulled up stakes and left. Maybe we can get some human intelligence about what he's up to.

Who wants to go?

CompleteEdit

Tony Stark:
Tony Stark Dialogue
Stegron's a ghost. Interesting. He must be waiting to see what Sauron's going to do next.

Deploy 5Edit

Screen TextEdit

Luke Cage was training some of the Sun People in how to recognize and avoid Iso-8 when he saw something...

MiniBoss - Doctor OctopusEdit

RevealEdit

Tony Stark:
Tony Stark Dialogue
Doc Ock. Huh. What's he doing here?

Agent Coulson:
Agent Coulson Dialogue
Couldn't be working for A.I.M., and I don't think Sauron would want him around. He must be freelancing.

Tony Stark:
Tony Stark Dialogue
He's probably still on his end-of-the-world kick and he's looking to burrow into the Savage Land and hide out until it's all over.

Nick Fury:
Nick Fury Dialogue
We can't count on him being that passive. Shanna, crash his party.

Shanna:
Shanna Icon 1
Agent, I'll wait for you.

StartEdit

You hunt me wherever I go! Don't you understand? Only Octavius can save us from what is coming? Dr. Octopus:
Doctor Octopus Icon

Shanna:
Shanna Icon 1
You mean Incursions, or the Worthy? Either way, I don't think I like what you're doing to the Hauk'ka.

I am recreating them. Just as I recreated myself! It will happen to us all in time. Dr. Octopus:
Doctor Octopus Icon

Shanna:
Shanna Icon 1
Not if I have anything to say about it.

In-FightEdit

You force me to take steps I would rather not take. Dr. Octopus:
Doctor Octopus Icon

Shanna:
Shanna Icon 1
Like making deals with Sauron? Or A.I.M.?

Hardly. They are buffoons not worthy of my attention. Like you, and your S.H.I.E.L.D. protectors.

All I wish is to complete my work in peace! You may not survive what is coming, but I will--at any cost!

Dr. Octopus:
Doctor Octopus Icon

LoseEdit

You see? The Hauk'ka do not want you here. Nor do I. Leave me alone! Dr. Octopus:
Doctor Octopus Icon

RepeatEdit

Shanna:
Shanna Icon 1
You didn't get my message last time. The Savage Land isn't your prepper bunker. Leave the Hauk'ka alone and get out.

CompleteEdit

Shanna:
Shanna Icon 1
Octavius cleared out. Everything in here is still unfinished. Looks like we caught him before he was ready.

Tony Stark:
Tony Stark Dialogue
Good. Things are complicated enough down here without him adding his own special brand of apocalyptic paranoia to the mix.

Agent Coulson:
Agent Coulson Dialogue
Where did he go, though?

Shanna:
Shanna Icon 1
He won't be running to Sauron... or to A.I.M.... if he knows what's good for him, he won't stay in the Savage Land.

MiniBoss - SavinEdit

RevealEdit

Maria Hill:
Maria Hill Dialogue
Savin? That accounts for the A.I.M. presence. Are they trying to run an Extremis project down here?

Tony Stark:
Tony Stark Dialogue
Fire-breathing Iso-Saurs? Not good.

Maria Hill:
Maria Hill Dialogue
Shut this one down, Agent. And keep an eye out for the Vulture. He was associating with A.I.M. a while back, and that may be why he's in the Savage Land to begin with.

Spider-Woman:
Spider-Woman Icon 1
I'll drop in on this one, Agent. I've been patrolling that area and there are a few spots we should avoid.

StartEdit

Spider-Woman:
Spider-Woman Icon 1
What's the play, Savin? You know Sauron's never going to allow a long-term human presence here.

You know A.I.M.. Better living through technology. We got a deal with Sauron; he leaves us alone, we share new toys...

And new Hauk'ka Iso-Saurs. Tell Stark we like that term.

And Sauron likes the results.

Savin:
Savin Icon

LoseEdit

Here come the Iso-Saurs... Savin:
Savin Icon

RepeatEdit

Hey, if you got a problem, take it up with Sauron. Savin:
Savin Icon

CompleteEdit

Spider-Woman:
Spider-Woman Icon 1
Savin exploded and the lab is burning. It's like a fireworks show in here.

Maria Hill:
Maria Hill Dialogue
Get yourself out safely, and rescue as many of the captive Hauk'ka as you can.

Spider-Woman:
Spider-Woman Icon 1
It's about time we took our grievances directly to Sauron, don't you think?

Maria Hill:
Maria Hill Dialogue
I do.

Boss - SauronEdit

RevealEdit

Maria Hill:
Maria Hill Dialogue
We've caught Sauron here at this impact site. There's Iso-8 everywhere.

Tony Stark:
Tony Stark Dialogue
And Iso-Saurs.

Maria Hill:
Maria Hill Dialogue
Watch out for this one, Agent. His powers increase as he drains energy from others, and then that energy gets kicked right back in your face.

Tony Stark:
Tony Stark Dialogue
And let's not forget about the big toothy beak.

StartEdit

Our human protector. I am filled with joy. Sauron:
Sauron Icon

Ka-Zar:
Ka-Zar Icon 1
You are filled with greed and lust for power. Making deals with A.I.M.? How is that any better than standing by while companies like Roxxon plunder this land?

It is better because I say it is better! I speak for this land, from the Sun People to the Saurians! All who wish to live will answer to me! Sauron:
Sauron Icon

Ka-Zar:
Ka-Zar Icon 1
I say no. You do not speak for the Savage Land. With my last breath I will make sure of that.

Very well. I will make sure you take your last breath. Sauron:
Sauron Icon

In-FightEdit

I will use A.I.M. to bring the Savage Land together under my control... and after this land, the entire world.

I will feed on what lives I choose, beginning with yours!

Sauron:
Sauron Icon

LoseEdit

Ruling the Savage Land requires a certain savagery. I do not apologize for that. Sauron:
Sauron Icon

RepeatEdit

Mammalian persistence. Bah. Sauron:
Sauron Icon

CompleteEdit

Ka-Zar:
Ka-Zar Icon 1
I am saddened. There was a time when Sauron wanted to protect the Savage Land. Now he proposes an alliance with A.I.M.?

Nick Fury:
Nick Fury Dialogue
He's out of his league. He's fighting for control with Stegron, Sinister...

Tony Stark:
Tony Stark Dialogue
Is he fighting Sinister? They seemed to be getting along fine while they were picking the Brotherhood's bones.

Ka-Zar:
Ka-Zar Icon 1
Now he is home in the Savage Land. Here he feels he should be in command. Either that or Iso-8 has pushed him off the deep end.

Tony Stark:
Tony Stark Dialogue
He's not the only one. I don't think anyone can spend a lot of time around it and not be affected.

Nick Fury:
Nick Fury Dialogue
What does that mean for us?

Tony Stark:
Tony Stark Dialogue
It means that for all we've learned about Iso-8, we still need to make sure we're controlling it instead of the other way around.

Mission CompleteEdit

Nick Fury:
Nick Fury Dialogue
We can check one more saurian threat off the list.

Maria Hill:
Maria Hill Dialogue
We're not just creating a power vacuum, are we?

Tony Stark:
Tony Stark Dialogue
Oh, I don't think so. The Savage Land is big enough and varied enough that nobody can ever run the whole thing.

We're just making sure that outright maniacs aren't sitting on thrones.

Agent Coulson:
Agent Coulson Dialogue
Now, the next thing is to hunt down the A.I.M. presence. We've seen Vulture and Savin and enough A.I.M. firepower to know they're up to something here.

Maria Hill:
Maria Hill Dialogue
And we still haven't been able to keep the High Evolutionary in one place long enough to take him down.

Tony Stark:
Tony Stark Dialogue
Also, does anyone else feel like Mr. Sinister is playing things awfully coy? I do.

Nick Fury:
Nick Fury Dialogue
He won't wait forever. We've got a lot of work still to be done. Let's get to it, people.

Mission 3Edit

"As if coping with mutated natives, Incursions, and genetic manipulators wasn't enough, the Savage Land now faces a renewed A.I.M."
— Mission Preview

Mission StartEdit

Nick Fury:
Nick Fury Dialogue
Our operational focus is shifting from Sauron and Stegron to A.I.M. and Mr. Sinister.

Maria Hill:
Maria Hill Dialogue
We are still unable to find Mr. Sinister, but we believe we've spotted Sugar Man. He'll be the first thing on our agenda.

We've also found a number of other A.I.M. bases. They're in the middle of a concerted effort to refine Iso-8 and design upgraded weapons.

Agent Coulson:
Agent Coulson Dialogue
They're attracted to Incursion sites, and there have been a number of those here. We can't let them get a stable foothold.

Shanna:
Shanna Icon 1
We especially can't let them strike a deal with Sauron or Stegron.

Nick Fury:
Nick Fury Dialogue
First run down Sugar Man and see if he'll lead us to Mr. Sinister and the High Evolutionary. The rest of it will fall into place from there.

Deploy 1Edit

Screen TextEdit

The High Evolutionary is leaving his unfinished experimental subjects wandering all over the place. Let's round some of them up. Maybe we'll run into him in the process.

Deploy 2Edit

Screen TextEdit

Drax the Destroyer has just encountered an incursion site. The incursion itself appears to have dissipated but a group of hostiles came out of it. Tell him to finish them off.

StartEdit

Agent Coulson:
Agent Coulson Dialogue
Drax. What's the status on that Incursion?

Drax:
Drax Icon 1
It's gone. But something came through.

Agent Coulson:
Agent Coulson Dialogue
Search and destroy. You need some backup?

Drax:
Drax Icon 1
Seriously?

Agent Coulson:
Agent Coulson Dialogue
You're right. Sorry I asked.

CompleteEdit

Drax:
Drax Icon 1
Looks like they were HYDRA. Were.

Agent Coulson:
Agent Coulson Dialogue
Hold tight and guide a recovery team in.

Deploy 3Edit

Screen TextEdit

We've confirmed the presence of a genetic lab. Sinister's not there, but it's full of highly dangerous mutable life forms. Send a hero to destroy it from a safe distance before they spread.

Deploy 4Edit

Screen TextEdit

There's a patch of... sentient plants, it looks like... at this location. We could fry them, but maybe it's better to send Groot. He'll be able to communicate with them and find out where they come from.

StartEdit

Tony Stark:
Tony Stark Dialogue
Groot, we're looking at a weird group of ambulatory plants. Can you check it out and see if they're left over from an Origin Bomb?

Groot:
Groot Icon 1
I am Groot.

Tony Stark:
Tony Stark Dialogue
Okay, good. Thanks.

CompleteEdit

Groot:
Groot Icon 1
I am Groot.

Rocket Raccoon:
Rocket Raccoon Icon 1
He means the plants appear to be a mutation, but not from an Origin Bomb. They're not hostile. But he did find an Iso-8 cache the Lizard left behind.

Tony Stark:
Tony Stark Dialogue
Good work. I mean, I am Groot. Does that work both ways?

Deploy 5Edit

Screen TextEdit

Tigra's in the field following up on A.I.M. intel from bases we've destroyed. Keep her out there and see if we've gotten them all.

StartEdit

Maria Hill:
Maria Hill Dialogue
Tigra, how goes the A.I.M. base mapping?

Tigra:
Tigra Icon 1
Almost done. I think we got all of them, but there's uncertainty about one.

Maria Hill:
Maria Hill Dialogue
Okay. Keep looking.

CompleteEdit

Maria Hill:
Maria Hill Dialogue
Tigra. Status?

Tigra:
Tigra Icon 1
I've been all over the area, and I've matched A.I.M. records to destroyed bases... except one.

It's out here somewhere. I'll find it.

MiniBoss - Sugar ManEdit

RevealEdit

Tony Stark:
Tony Stark Dialogue
Ka-Zar, we've spotted Sugar Man. Have you seen him around here before?

Ka-Zar:
Ka-Zar Icon 1
Not until very recently, when he was in the hills looking for Iso-8. I throw it into volcanoes when I see it.

Tony Stark:
Tony Stark Dialogue
You might want to stop that. No telling what it will do if it's vaporized.

Ka-Zar:
Ka-Zar Icon 1
How do you know it vaporizes?

Tony Stark:
Tony Stark Dialogue
How do you know it doesn't?

Ka-Zar:
Ka-Zar Icon 1
I know it is gone when I throw it into volcanoes. That is all I need to know.

Tony Stark:
Tony Stark Dialogue
Try that trick with Sugar Man. Maybe it'll work on him, too.

StartEdit

Get lost. We're only doing saurians right now. Don't worry, when we want you, we'll come find you. Sugar Man:
Sugar Man Icon

Ka-Zar:

I cannot be lost in the Savage Land. This is my home, and you are trespassing. You get lost.

Not gonna happen. Sugar Man:

Tony Stark:

Maybe a bug will eat him. Or some kind of little tiny saurian.

Agent Coulson:
Agent Coulson Dialogue
We can hope. That's quite a cache of Iso-8 there, Ka-Zar. Can you hang tight until we get there to collect it?

Ka-Zar:
Ka-Zar Icon 1
I would prefer you destroyed it.

Agent Coulson:
Agent Coulson Dialogue
No can do. But we will get it out of the Savage Land.

RevealEdit

Tony Stark:
Tony Stark Dialogue
Grey Gargoyle's going after Iso-Saurs to add to A.I.M.'s collection. Shanna, this one's yours.

Shanna:
Shanna Icon 1
I will always defend those Savage Land creatures who are unable to defend themselves.

Tony Stark:
Tony Stark Dialogue
Well, the Iso-Saurs aren't so bad at defending themselves, as we've found out. But I get your point.

StartEdit

A.I.M. has plans for these creatures. But we can put human subjects to use as well, non? Grey Gargoyle:
Grey Gargoyle Icon

Shanna:
Shanna Icon 1
Despicable. No living thing is yours to torment.

Life is torment, Mademoiselle. I give it direction and purpose. Do not be naive. Your knives cannot harm me. Grey Gargoyle:

Shanna:
Shanna Icon 1
I would be naive before I would be cruel. And I will test my blades against your skin of stone!

Alors! Grey Gargoyle:

Perhaps I have underestimated you. Now you have my full attention. Grey Gargoyle:

Maria Hill:

On our way, Shanna. Let's keep zeroing in on Mr. Sinister and the High Evolutionary.

Agent Coulson:
Agent Coulson Dialogue
We're well on our way to clearing A.I.M. out of here... at least as far as we can tell. But it's strange...

Maria Hill:
Maria Hill Dialogue
What's strange? This is the Savage Land. Everything's strange.

Agent Coulson:
Agent Coulson Dialogue
Where's M.O.D.O.K.? If this is a serious A.I.M. op, he would be close enough to control it.

RevealEdit

Ka-Zar:
Ka-Zar Icon 1
I have found the main Iso-Saur laboratory. The High Evolutionary and Mr. Sinister are both here!

Maria Hill:
Maria Hill Dialogue
We're bringing in backup, Ka-Zar. Do not engage them on your own.

Move, Agent. If we give these two any more time, they'll be creating new species faster than we can catch them.

Tony Stark:
Tony Stark Dialogue
Or Sinister will splice some Iso-Saur DNA into himself, and come up with who knows what.

Ka-Zar:
Ka-Zar Icon 1
Agent, it is up to us to prevent that. The Savage Land is depending on us.

StartEdit

Oh, dear me. Have I run afoul of the jungle steward and his pet cat? Mr. Sinister:

Ka-Zar:
Ka-Zar Icon 1
You have... and you will soon see that it is nothing to joke about.

I made no joke. What I did was employ sarcasm and derision. Your lack of education is showing, Mr. Plunder. Mr. Sinister:
Mr. Sinister Icon

Ka-Zar:
Ka-Zar Icon 1
I need no education to know the evils you create... nor do I need it to face you down and destroy them.

Theoretically true. Now let us see whether your theorem stands up to a test of proof. Mr. Sinister:

Quite. Let us apply the standards of science, and see whether our Ka-Zar here is in need of improvement. High Evolutionary:

Ka-Zar:

Oh, I still plan to break it. Then Sinister and I will fix it, as only we can.

CompleteEdit

Ka-Zar:
Ka-Zar Icon 1
The Iso-Saurs have run amok in this lab while I was fighting Sinister and Wyndham. I would have destroyed it, but now I do not have to.

Maria Hill:
Maria Hill Dialogue
We'll sift through the wreckage and see what we can learn. Where did they go?

Ka-Zar:
Ka-Zar Icon 1
That I do not know. Wyndham had a device that screened their escape. They may even have teleported away somewhere.

Maria Hill:
Maria Hill Dialogue
Keep an eye out. There's no way they're going to abandon this project. Like the High Evolutionary said, the Savage Land is irresistible to someone with an itch for genetic tinkering.

RevealEdit

Tigra:

Coulson, you were wondering where M.O.D.O.K. was...?

Maria Hill:
Maria Hill Dialogue
We see him, Tigra. Looks like your recon sweep paid off.

Nick Fury:
Nick Fury Dialogue
Agent, M.O.D.O.K. has gathered together A.I.M.'s newest innovations and he's going to try to use them to control the energy of an Incursion.

Tony Stark:
Tony Stark Dialogue
We don't have to tell you that's a bad idea, right? Tigra's going to lead you in.

Tigra:
Tigra Icon 1
It's only fair. I'm the one who found him, after all.

Nick Fury:
Nick Fury Dialogue
We're all about fairness. As long as it gets results.

StartEdit

Tigra:
Tigra Icon 1
M.O.D.O.K., you're not going to get your techno-utopia if you blow the world up screwing around with an Incursion.

Feline woman, you know nothing of M.O.D.O.K.'s capabilities. You judge my mind? Pitiable.

Minions, destroy her! Do not anger me by forcing me to devote time to this. There is greater work to be done!

Tigra:
Tigra Icon 1
Don't worry, Fury. I'll be long gone before they get here. The lab is your problem.

Shanna:
Shanna Icon 1
I'll keep an eye on things. He had Iso-Saurs pointing guns at me. I don't stand for that.

Maria Hill:
Maria Hill Dialogue
Let's get that team moving. The sooner we know what M.O.D.O.K. might have gotten away with, the better we'll be able to prepare.

Agent Coulson:
Agent Coulson Dialogue
We cannot, under any circumstances, allow him to interfere with an Incursion.

Mission CompleteEdit

Nick Fury:
Nick Fury Dialogue
Ka-Zar, we're counting on you here. We need someone on the team who's familiar with the Savage Land.

Ka-Zar:
Ka-Zar Icon 1
I will need something in return. This isn't the last we've seen of either Sinister or Herbert Wyndham.

And I fear they won't be the last to try to use these lands as a laboratory, now that Iso-8 has added new possibilities to the mix. We will need S.H.I.E.L.D.'s help.

Maria Hill:
Maria Hill Dialogue
We agree on that. We'll need to stay in close contact. A.I.M. is already active here. The more people learn about the Iso-Saurs, the more we're going to have to police what goes on down here.

Shanna:
Shanna Icon 1
You'll find the Savage Land doesn't welcome outsiders, Agent Hill. Tread lightly.

Nick Fury:
Nick Fury Dialogue
Understood, Shanna. But we will have to tread.

Ka-Zar:
Ka-Zar Icon 1
S.H.I.E.L.D. has proven a stalwart ally. Zabu and I will be proud to fight with you. After all, I can't let Shanna have all the fun.

Nick Fury:
Nick Fury Dialogue
Glad to hear it. Welcome to the team.

Ka-Zar:
Ka-Zar Icon 1
I will remain here unless needed.

Shanna:
Shanna Icon 1
As will I. Sooner or later, Sauron and Stegron will band together out of necessity. We must be ready when that happens.

Tony Stark:
Tony Stark Dialogue
Understood. We'll be calling.

Nick Fury:
Nick Fury Dialogue
Back to the Helicarrier, Agent. About time we touched base with the Northern Hemisphere again.
