Thanks for updating your profile. Saw that you wished for pvp advice for the next season. Well, 1st hero and armory bonus are important. As you view your heroes pool as small, you can work on it. More than 30 heroes mean you can farm 12.2. Get cheap heroes to add to the pool. Armory-wise, use usbs/Advanced Encryption Components.
Then, team strategy. I suggest Chase Stein to shut down powerful enemy moves and Emma Frost's Mental Anguish for big damage (50% of max hp w/o Weak Mind/Maddening Aiso8, 75% with)
...I don't actually think that there are any "cheap" heroes that I still need aside for War Machine, all the rest are 90CP and higher. I'll slot the AECs and such, unless I get enough for the 64G research (IF I decide to try to 5-star the spec ops). Currently, I have around 15 or so CP.
It's alright, I had a hunch that was the case. I did that back when the Spec Ops first dropped as a safety net, and replaced everything that wasn't optimized PVP gear with higher stat bonuses. As for Tacticians and Blasters, I'll try, but I still want to aim for HAIF - I only need Psylocke and Shatterstar to unlock that alt, and neither of them are Tactician or Blaster.
I'm running Chase/Emma as my Offense team, and will be doing so until I get Chase up to level 10+, so I was wondering if you could recommend a defensive team? Right now, I'm running Emma/Quicksilver, with my agent using three pieces of the Legion set (Transponder, Pistol and Rifle Mk. 1, planning on buying gold for the Legion Rifle tomorrow) and a Combat Communicator, but it's losing 50 or more points a night.
Do you know the pistol counter yourself if you have radiation? Bad idea to run that. I would prefer Famine QS as unlike AI, most players aren't dumb enough to take Emma's Mental Anguish head-on. I would change my moveset to Dragon's Foot/Momentum Generator and Bashenga's Blade/Golden Tyrant Blade, , Psychic Amplifer and a Special Functionality weapon. Use the both first choices if available. Both 2nd choices if not.
I'll have to farm Psychic Amplifier, and probably wait for the training bay to be free of the lower-levelled heroes I'm training (Including Chase), and run both second options. Plus side, I do have a (rather outlevelled) Gaunt Caress for the special functionality, and I do think I have one of those old Radiation things as well, not sure. Thanks for the advice, I'll be able to do that.
Tell me about your agent level and what stuff do you equip and your level. Even tell me which heroes do you have and their level. If they have any different costumes, tell me that too. I will help you to reach gold league so that you can win and use 10 gold to skip MK's heroic battles task.
Currently, I have Mutagen Emitter, Loki's Scepter, Golden Tonfa and Flashing Eye equipped, although Flashing Eye is probably a few levels behind by now. Suit is the Generalist S. Tech Combat Armor, haven't managed to get the trench or save for any specialist suit research thanks to my heroes needing to be trained.
Heroes by level, starting at the top:
Hawkeye (Normal and Heroic), Iron Fist (Level 10)
She-Hulk (Level 9)
Iron Man, Cyclops, Deadpool (Level 8)
Black Widow, Dr. Strange, Invisible Woman (Level 7)
Black Cat, Hulk, Human Torch, Ms. Marvel, Spider-Woman (Level 6).
My offline team seems to have been doing alright, considering it's Cyclops and Hawkeye (seen SO MANY BLASTERS in Silver...), while my active team is Cyclops and Hulk, and has done alright... I guess.
I noticed your comments on the last thread and was hoping i could help since I am in the same level bracket as you (lvl 83 in diamond, almost vib). With the heroes you've posted I would level deadpool to 9 since he is currently the biggest damage dealer in the game and heroic hawkeye. heroic hawkeye can put up the debuffs deadpool needs for his lvl 9 very quickly. also try getting as far into the moonknight missions as possible just for those weapons, at least the retractible claw. those weapons all give the debuffs for exploit attrition as well. Combine that with your flashing eye(levels don't matter for it since it isn't a weapon), loki's scepter and something else. And you'll probably be in gold easily. If you want to iso properly use pkb's guide for it. http://avengersalliance.wikia.com/wiki/User_blog:Potkettleblack/ISO_-_How_I_Have_Iso%27d_My_Heroes use the crystal version instead of reactives.
To me, chipping is a must. Chipping my guys was what weaned me off of the Offensive Accelerator (finally!), after I saw that after some chip improvements, they were able to deal pretty much the same damage that they did before. When you get to level 100, you'll get Crystal ISOs, and then you should spend beaucoup silver on researching and buying chips for your guys. Keep a chart or notes or something, so you can keep up with who will need what and, even better, when you get a spiffy chip in deploys or rewards, you can give it to who needs them most. (I used a bunch of reactives when I got them in PVP and lockboxes, but as you level up, they fall further and further behind where the crystals are. Now I'm keeping them instead of using them, letting them grow more and more powerful until they are strong enough to replace the crystals I am currently using.) I'm paying for it by CONSTANTLY keeping my guys on flight deck missions, even while playing -- when I'm playing, I keep a bunch on 20-min missions, resending when they're done and snatching one off if I need him/her for a particular battle.
Levelling Deadpool will put me out of time for this PVP though, so if I want to skip the Heroic Battle for Moon Knight, the fact that we have less than 48 hours left in this PVP season, and I'd have to give Deadpool a few hours of training, it's not ideal. I could do it, OR I could skip Moon Knight and wait, and aim for Adamantium next season for one of my favourite heroines in the Marvel Universe - Domino.

if it is possible, give him training today and attack tomorrow with Deadpool and Hawkeye. You don't need to research the trench, you just have to pay 100000 silver. And go for Moon Knight. If you cannot train Deadpool, use Iron Fist and Hawkeye. But you have a very bad team and a very low amount of heroes. Maybe that's the reason why you are sitting in Silver league. I have 26 heroes but I am in gold league, think about it.
If you can't get Moon Knight, it's ok, but after this PVP season, get all 23 cp and 33 cp heroes as fast as possible. When you get chp 12 open, you should try to get uniforms for your heroes and always keep an amount of 100cp at reserve.
Thanks for the advice, and yeah, I'm aware of my bad choices so far.
I've got 40CP currently, and since I have three full energy charges and I-don't-know-how-many max battle refils, I should be able to train Deadpool and work through the Moon Knight missions at the same time.
Oh, I know it's possible. Level 97, actually - I'm sitting on one gold at the moment from the roulette last night. I'll go back to grinding Challenge Mode on Season 1 or 2.1.something. Hopefully I get lucky on more roulette runs.
It's your call but WW Hulk is unstoppable if he has enough time to get his rampage on! That's why I am finding it so effective pairing him with Rescue and I am only coming unstuck when Hulk gets KO'ed before my team gets a full turn (My Hulk and Rescue lvl 13's).
Cyclops is certainly your best option that you currently have but train Hulk, buy his alt and pair him with Cyclops and you will see the difference for certain!
Well its late here so I'm gonna get off now but farming CP and training Hulk as quick as possible would be how I would attempt to go about things but feel free to go with my fellow posters advice, good luck however you choose to proceed.
One of the mistakes I see people making, and I would guess Flashfire has made, is thinking solely of the game as centering around PVP, and viewing PVE as just "grinding" to get heroes leveled up and gear secured for the tournaments. I think you become a better player, and have better gear/heroes/etc, by taking PVE as seriously as you do PVP.
FF: You've made what I would consider some very questionable choices. Only 14 heroes, yet you've spent CP on alt Hawkeye? You don't have a single blaster above level 7 except for Iron Man level 8 (when his only saving grace, the unibeam, comes at level 9)? Your only bruiser is She-Hulk? You spent 135 CP on Deadpool?!? Wow. (Please understand that I am not busting your chops, just pointing out some of what I consider to be glitches in your strategy that have put you where you currently are. I have no interest in criticizing you, just trying to help you improve from where you're at.)
I'm also guessing that you've leveled up quite a bit in PVP, and haven't gotten very far in the PVE missions. You have to have 15 heroes to unlock Chapter 9 (assuming that you haven't unlocked the later missions via gold; I'm assuming that you're not spending a lot on gold since you talk about not being able to get WWII Hulk because you lack 21 CP). You're missing out on the opportunity to secure a ton of great gear and goodies by not playing those missions thoroughly.
My advice -- and please remember I am not a big PVP fan -- is to let this tournament go and start securing your situation for next time. You need a new bruiser. Captain Britain is my personal favorite, but he's 90 CP, and Colossus is an absolute steal at 23. No, he won't help you much in PVP, but he will help you a lot in PVE, where you can level up your heroes and gear up your agent. Same with Sif (15 CP) and Kitty Pryde (33 CP and a great alt into Shadowcat for later on in both PVP and PVE). Quicksilver is quite good in lower and mid-level PVP, and some people play him at the higher levels, especially in the blue suit; and when you level him up and learn to play him, he's a killer in PVE. Torch is a great low- to midlevel blaster for both PVE and PVP, though you'll move past him soon enough. Strange is a must for PVE play and another excellent blaster for low- and midlevel PVP. Other low-cost heroes that are very good for PVE, though not so much for PVP, are Storm (a necessity to unlock 1.4.4 epic), War Machine, Nightcrawler, etc.
Level and chip your guys like crazy. Maximize your CP expenditures by going without the glossy 90 and 135 CP heroes until you get secured with the good lower-priced ones, and don't worry about the alts so much for now. In other words, use PVE to its best advantage to get you prepped and ready for PVP.
That's my take on it. You are more than free to disagree. I don't pretend to have a great depth of knowledge about the game or PVP, but I do think very strongly that a lot of people make a critical mistake in considering PVE the boring adjunct to PVP. Think of PVE as essential training and preparation for PVP -- the more you put into it, the more you'll have for the PVP tournaments.
Heh, well, I don't like PVP much at all. My key concern here was getting the Gold to bypass needing Cap and Thor for Moon Knight. I LOATHE PVP, mostly due to the fact I have no Spec Ops, PVP or Lockbox heroes, most of whom are incredibly powerful, (so I lose almost constantly) and I enjoy PVE, although I've been grinding for full chapter completion instead of progressing in Season 1, which is half of my problem.
Deadpool was a spur-of-the-moment thing. One of my favourite comic characters, and the only Marvel character I have so far cosplayed as, so he holds a special place in my heart, hence why I bought him. Yes, there are a lot of other characters I need, and I'm keenly aware of my lack of Tacticians and high-level Blasters. Ironically, all characters I own, bar Deadpool (just out from that point), Black Cat and Spider-Woman, are ready to level up, but a lack of Silver is currently holding them back.
The key reason why I got the alt costume for Hawkeye was as celebration for him being my first level 10 hero. Stupid, yeah, but that alt costume is fun to play. I was saving for Gambit, so I could eventually unlock Iron Fist's alt, but other characters, most of the lower-level ones you've mentioned, I should be getting my hands on. Not looking forward to the really bad ones (Luke Cage in particular). Got Strange, and I enjoy using him, got Torch by accident (was two CP away from Deadpool and accidentally clicked "buy" on his ad), but he's proven worth it as well.
I have no clue what I'm doing with ISOs, and so I, in all my stupid ways, randomised what chips I gave who. The result? Some of them ain't pretty. At all. But, I've got a fair supply left, so I can fix characters up.
Thanks for your comments, it's a really important thing for me. While I'm not the kind of person to ask for help unless I really feel I need it, everyone's been so good in their advice (except for the person who insisted that I spend CP on an alt costume I couldn't afford). I'm just sad I stopped playing between Cable and the Spec. Ops for Ghost Rider. Looks like I've missed out on a lot.
Then forget PVP and focus on the SOs and covert missions coming up. I've "won" this covert op for Moon Knight, though it will be a long time before I actually recruit him -- I need about a dozen heroes to unlock epic battles, premiums, heroics, etc before I get to him. I'm more interested in the nifty gear at the moment.
I understand about Deadpool and Hawkeye. I would LOVE to play alt Hawk (I don't have him), mostly because I grew up on Avengers comics and Hawkeye was one of my favorites. I don't play him a lot now, because, well, it's stupid when I have Cyclops and WM, my agent is a tac, and so forth. But I like him, and he did me well against blaster Thanos.
Don't sell Luke short. He's useless in PVP, but he has his uses in PVE, including unlocking some epics and premiums. He does one thing well, and that is bust people in the head in single attacks. He's quite good against infiltrators who like to slice you up. I know he gets no respect in this and other forums, but I like him for what he is. He's like Storm and other low-CP players: he will help you get into the higher levels, where you'll rely on "better" heroes, but by then he'll be hanging out at the Old Heroes' Club, kicking back cold ones and going on deploys while other guys do the dirty work.
You're missing out by not having Sif and Colossus. You have enough to get them both right now, and that's what I would advise. They are killer. (And I imagine Sif and Thor will figure prominently in the next SO.)
ISO chips are massively important. I keep track of who has what, and what I am going to replace them with. Basically (and simplistically), I try to four-bar everyone as best as possible, and then worry about five-barring them and further as I get further in the game (I'm level 121, not that far ahead of you). Since you're coming up on getting crystals, I wouldn't worry too much about it until you get there and get them researched. Save silver and shield points for research and for buying crystal chips. Some people have different strategies, and I think someone linked to PKB's excellent ISO guide above. I'm all over this page: http://avengersalliance.wikia.com/wiki/Isotope-8
It's a valid strategy to five-star the lower chapters instead of forging ahead to the newer ones, but I get impatient with it. My wife plays that way, and she is very successful for what she does, though she isn't as into the game as I am. I push ahead and then go back to play the chapters I think I ought to play. I've five-starred pretty much all of the CP farming chapters, cuz I wanted those 5 CP. I haven't gotten 12 unlocked yet, and when I do, I will play 12.2 until it begs for mercy. :) You get goodies in the upper chapters that aren't available in the lower ones.
No problem reaching out for help. That's what we're all here for, to share insights and gripes and help each other over the tricky parts.
Flashfire212 wrote: Read that earlier. Am only level 89, so cannot reach the really good crystals, and my Reactive ones will be outclassed by at least one, if not two levels a day thanks to PVE.
Didn't see that when I wrote that long-@ss post above. I got happy with reactives until I realized the same thing you did, that they quickly lose their effectivesness as you level up. I'm in the process of replacing old reactives with expensive crystals right now. It's a process, but the reactives did well for me while they were there. I have a bunch in "storage" now, growing in effectiveness. One day they'll be strong enough to warrant replacing the crystals.
Haha, I know about the links, but there's no Gold currently available. I already have two Gold, so I just have to 4-star eight missions, or 4-star four, level up four times. Either way has more time available than going for this PVP season, although I'll probably ask for advice again before next season (since I'll be aiming for Domino, if possible).
Good thing I've been getting missions up to three stars, huh? Think I've pretty much got an entire chapter of Season 1 at 3 stars... XD
Heh, I have only one of those, the one I cosplay, Deadpool. Saving for Gambit at the moment, although if I decide to aim for Moon Knight, might switch over to Cap and Thor.
And yes, I do make the assumption that most players have all of those, because most people here are in excess of level 100, while I, thanks to the fact that I stopped playing for a long stretch of time (potentially over a year or two), am only level 82 despite reaching Gold rank in PVP Season 1.
Oh, I forgot I don't follow the usual ISO-8 sets. I try to build up every single stat, trying to balance them or to prefer the most useful ones (ex. Rescue can be good with high evasion, and Ares really needs some more attack power).
PS: I've put on my userpage my current heroes. Check them if you want :D
