“Testing, testing... All right, then. Initial tech assessment of the ‘power armor’ the new Agent brought us after defeating its wearer.
“Hmmm… Appears to be first-generation arc reactor technology fueling a titanium and steel exo-skeleton. Impressive design.
“Impressive, that is, for a caveman, and I speak as a guy with some experience building things in caves.
“Steve Rogers -- Captain America to you -- just sent me an email saying he faced something similar to it in a Hydra weapons facility in a Nazi-occupied island in the Danish straits. In 1943.
“That means Hydra is still using tech developed by the late, not-so-great Red Skull nearly sixty years after the fact. That’s either a testament to the impressiveness of the Skull’s designs or how badly Hydra is hurting for new tech ever since their ex-weapons division AIM took its toys and went home. Regardless, this power armor belongs in a museum, not in the field. S.H.I.E.L.D. should count its lucky stars that Hydra’s top weapons designer is a guy who died in 1945.
“And that S.H.I.E.L.D.’s top weapons designer is me, of course.”
