PREPARED BY CHARLES XAVIER[]
Xavier School for Gifted Youngsters Student Record: Rogue
Given Name: Anna Marie [Surname unknown]
Gender: Female
Nation of Origin: USA
Enrolled: Second Class
Grade Point Average (GPA): 3.00
Danger Room Median Success Rate (DRMSR): 8.09
Active Mutations: Rogue can absorb psyches and super powers through touch. While the absorption of memories is fairly temporary (lasting one hour or so), Rogue can retain physical abilities or characteristics for a much longer time. ***WARNING*** Prolonged exposure to Rogue’s skin can lead to the permanent transfer of abilities and even the death of the target subject.
Passive Mutations: Though not technically “mutations,” during her time with Mystique ’s Brotherhood of Mutants Rogue absorbed many of Ms. Marvel ’s Kree abilities, including flight, super-strength and invulnerability.
Hereditary Mutation? None known.
Student Background: Rogue nearly killed a teenage boyfriend by accidentally absorbing his lifeforce not longer after her powers first manifested themselves post-puberty. She became a runaway until she was discovered by Mystique, who adopted, raised, and ultimately recruited her into the Brotherhood of Mutants. She battled the X-Men and the Avengers in this capacity until she absorbed the powers and memories of Ms. Marvel (Carol Danvers), nearly killing her. Traumatized by this flood of intimate psychic stimuli -- and, I would suggest, subconsciously influenced by the heroic aspects of Ms. Marvel’s personality she had absorbed -- Rogue sought help from me at my school, and she has been a stalwart member of my X-Men ever since.
Headmaster Notes: It should not be surprising that Rogue finds it difficult to get close to other people emotionally as well as physically, though I have noticed a deep intimacy between her and Gambit. I pray it leads to nothing but good for her; she deserves it. Rogue is a living example of a person’s ability to put a bad past behind her.

Charles Xavier
