  • See External Links for helpful information regarding PVP.

PVP Tournament: Pre-Season 17 is a tournament before PVP Tournament: Season 17 to test new features.

August 12, 2014 Patch Notes[]

Introducing Pre-Season PVP[]

The Pre-Seasons will gear you up with high PVP bonus items and allows us to occasionally test out new features to create a better PVP experience. Pre-Season length may fluctuate, but will currently run for two weeks. Standard PVP seasons (like the upcoming Season 17 featuring Karnak) will still be the standard length of roughly 4 weeks.

Not all pre-seasons are meant to test for new features. Our goal is to give you a pre-season before each long PVP season to give more players a chance to gear up for the Adamantium League. Future PVP Pre-Seasons will be titled based on the Season they precede. For example there will be a "Pre-Season 18" right before "Season 18."

Pre-Season PVP Alpha[]

Pre-Season PVP Alpha will feature improved matchmaking. Matches will be evaluated based on which league you are currently in, and a combination of factors, including level, rating, number of heroes and slotted PVP items. Good luck, Agents!

September 19, 2014 Patch Notes[]

Pre-Season PVP Beta[]

Pre-Season PVP Beta features level capped tournaments. Level capped tournaments are the second phase of major PVP releases, building on the refactored matchmaking system deployed in Pre-Season PVP Alpha. Being the initial release of level capped tournaments, additional tuning and adjustments will be made, as needed.

Good luck, Agents!

Level Capped Tournaments:[]

Participants will now be capped at level 60 in their matches to ensure a more balanced PVP experience. Players above level 60 will appear as level 60, while players below level 60 will remain unchanged.

The Power Levels of gear are scaled, to retain their power relative to the agent level, while fitting within the 60 cap. Gear which has been out-leveled (Power Level is much lower than the agent level) will appear at lower Power Levels, while gear with Power Levels close to the agent level will appear at higher Power Levels. The exception to this is when the Power Level exceeds the agent level, such as Limited Edition gear, which retain their additional Power Level bonuses.

A few examples:

  • Level 300 Agent with a Power Level 300 gear item will appear capped at level 60 with a Power Level 60 gear item.
  • Level 300 Agent with a Power Level 100 gear item will appear capped at level 60 with a Power Level 20 gear item.
  • Level 300 Agent with a Power Level 310 gear item will appear capped at level 60 with a Power Level 70 gear item. In other words, any power levels above your agent are retained.

Additionally, Stat Bonuses gained from the Hero Bonus and Armory Bonus are scaled to match the adjusted agent levels. For players above level 60, the Health, Stamina, Attack, Defense, Accuracy, and Evasion bonuses continue to provide stat increases (larger rosters, higher level heroes and high item bonuses provide the greatest increases), but are calculated as if the agent is level 60. For players below level 60, there are no visible changes.

Pre-Season PVP Gamma[]

Pre-Season PVP Gamma will feature matchmaking refinements to improve the experience. Agent weapons are now properly scaled to the level cap.

Matches will be evaluated based on which league you are currently in and a combination of factors, including level, rating, number of heroes and slotted PVP items. Good luck, Agents!

Leagues[]

As players compete, they will be placed in a League. Players are placed in different Leagues according to their Rating, Ranking, and their number of PVP fights done in that Season. By gaining the number of ranked PVP fights required and attaining a high enough Rating, players can be promoted to higher Leagues. If a player loses Rating, they can be demoted back to a lower League.

Each League has its own Season Reward. The higher the League players placed in by the end of the Tournament, the better the Season reward.

There are five Leagues since Season 1. These are:

Silver League
Gold League
Diamond League
Vibranium League
Adamantium League
Silver
League
Gold

Diamond

Vibranium

Adamantium

League Requirements and Rewards[]

Note: Offline PVP Battles do not count towards the players' required PVP Battles.

For the Agent to be placed in a league, he must have either the minimum league rating OR the minimum league rank required for that league.

At the end of the Season, players win rewards based on the League they are in at the end of the season. Players must maintain their placement in their league until the very end of the season in order to win the reward. Each league has different rewards, and players that are in a higher league will win that league's reward plus the rewards of the lower leagues.
