|Beast:||If I can poke around in some Sentinel components, I bet I can find some traces of the Fixer there.
Might be able to use that information to track him down once and for all.
|Beast:||Interesting. The Fixer did in fact leave some little bits of himself in these Sentinels. He's going to be easier to find from here on out.|
|Tony Stark:||There are so many damn disturbances in space-time that I can't keep track of them all. Reed, can you?|
|Mr. Fantastic:||Just barely. Incursion points are appearing at an alarmingly rapid rate, each followed by a strange anomalous signature. It stands out like an actual time traveler.|
|Tony Stark:||You know this?|
|Beast:||He leaves a tachyon signature we have learned to recognize. I'll show you later if you wish; the process is incredibly fascinating since we use a rare molecular reac-|
|Maria Hill:||Thank you, Dr. McCoy. We're also seeing Sentinels coming up out of San Francisco Bay, and they appear to be under the control of the Crimson Dynamo.|
|Tony Stark:||That's what I was about to say.|
|Maria Hill:||Someone has given him a powerful tech upgrade. Not to mention more responsibility, if he's controlling Sentinels. How has he acquired this amount of power?|
|Nick Fury:||We'll find out when we track him down. Let's not ask him nicely; Havok is taking point on this operation.|
Boss - KangEdit
|Tony Stark:||Kang shifted timelines again. Havok, what's your status?|
|Havok:||You tell me. If there are more Sentinels, I'm going after them.|
|Beast:||We're reading more space-time disturbances radiating from Kang's time shift. Or is that an Incursion...?|
|Tony Stark:||You have a location?|
|Beast:||Look... wait. No. It's gone.|
|Nick Fury:||Then that concludes this operation. Let's get teams cleaning up those Sentinels.|
Mini-Boss - Hydro-ManEdit
|Tony Stark:||HYDRA has brought in a little mercenary help, in the sloshy form of Hydro-Man.
Hydro-Man's got some kind of portable kit that he's using to dose the White Gorillas with Iso-8 serum.
|Ares:||I will pry it from the stiffening fingers of his severed hands.|
|Beast:||Take care, Ares. Diluting the Iso-8 serum makes it difficult to get a reliable analysis.|
|Ares:||You have mistaken me for the God of Caring About Laboratory Analysis.|
|Black Panther:||The White Gorilla danger grows the longer we stand deliberating.|
|Nick Fury:||Understood, T'Challa. Ares?|
|Hank Pym:||Hank, I believe these are the Iso-saurs we were looking for. They show all signs of the variant Iso-8 infusion.|
|Beast:||I believe you are correct, Hank. Their genetic signatures tantalize the mind.|
|Hank Pym:||More to the point, Hank, we better round these Iso-saurs up real quick unless we want them to eat us.|
|Beast:||Indubitably, Hank. Destiny calls us to greater things than being metabolized by Saurians.|
|Beast:||Hank, those Iso-saurs were more than we bargained for.|
|Hank Pym:||Can it. Joke's over.|
|Beast:||Sourpuss. Come on. Turn that frown upside down and let's get back at them.|
|Hank Pym:||Well, Hank, that's that for the Iso-saurs.|
|Beast:||Sure is, Hank. What a team we make.|
|Beast:||I dislike seeing my friends and colleagues quarreling when there are more pressing matters at hand.
Instead of falling victim to ignorance, we should advance our cause through research. To the lab!
|Tony Stark:||We're neck-deep in Jotun here, and we need an extra scientific mind to take a calm look at how Iso-8 is working with Asgardian nature.
Beast? Maybe the Phoenix experience has tuned up your sense of Iso-8's cosmo-mystical side.
|Beast:||Cosmo-mystical? Did you come up with that yourself?|
|Tony Stark:||I see you are unfamiliar with Stark Industries' neologism division.|
|Beast:||It's not the same as the interaction with the Phoenix Force. Something about the nature of Asgard has changed it.|
|Nick Fury:||Is it safe to refine, or will it turn us all into dvergar or something?|
|Beast:||Dvergar? You've been doing your homework, Director.|
|Nick Fury:||I know how to read.|
|Beast:||Well, no. You won't be turned into dwarves. Or giants, for that matter. I don't know what it will do, but I'm fairly certain it won't do that.|
|Maria Hill:||Beast, if you can whip something up to interfere with the Living Pharaoh's matrix, that would be a big help.|
|Beast:||Oh, I think I have an idea or two in that direction. You keep our unruly guests occupied while I make final calibrations.
Once I've done that, we can probably use the Helicarrier's active sonar to create an interference field.
|Maria Hill:||Let's do it, then.|
|Maria Hill:||How's it coming?|
|Beast:||Well, let's perform a quick test run... Yes, this should slow him down.
But it's not going to stop him. The only way to do that would be to, um, remove Havok. As in, from this universe.
|Nick Fury:||That's not part of the plan. But we'll take any help we can get.|
Boss - Arnim ZolaEdit
|Tony Stark:||Zola is escaping. Field teams in pursuit--whoa. What was that?|
|Maria Hill:||A secondary explosion just collapsed most of this floor and the one above it. The whole building is about to come down. Wonder Man's out. Agent, get him clear and extract your team, now!|
|Vision:||I have Wonder Man. I will transport him to the Helicarrier for treatment.|
|Tony Stark:||Make it snappy, Vision. HYDRA has a long-term habit of putting Simon in a coma to run experiments on him.|
|Beast:||I'll be at the landing pad ready to start treatment. Hang in there, old friend.|
|Tony Stark:||When we deployed on this mission, I thought Wonder Man might be dead and HYDRA had all of his tech and experimental results.|
|Maria Hill:||That didn't happen. So, good.|
|Tony Stark:||Instead, Wonder Man is comatose, HYDRA has at least some of his tech and experimental results, and there's Iso-8 scattered from here to Midtown.|
|Maria Hill:||So, bad.|
|Nick Fury:||Let's get recovery teams out to sweep for the Iso-8. And we need Wonder Man in a secure medical facility.|
|Beast:||Maybe now is the time to use our Bellevue hideaway. It's secure and nobody knows about it.|
|Nick Fury:||Good. Get Wonder Man over there and let's try to keep it quiet that he's... indisposed.|
Boss - Baron StruckerEdit
|Maria Hill:||Status report, please, Tigra.|
|Tigra:||Strucker's out of the picture, but this whole complex is a wreck. Wonder Man is starting to come around, though.|
|Wonder Man:||I'm fine.|
|Beast:||Depends on what you mean by fine. We're going to check you out before you're cleared to fight again.|
|Wonder Man:||As long as you do it somewhere other that here. I want out of Bellevue.|
|Nick Fury:||That sounds healthy to me.|
|Maria Hill:||HYDRA has amassed forces all over the area surrounding Avengers Tower. We've had sightings of both Viper and Baron Zemo. Possibly Strucker as well.|
|Tony Stark:||On top of that, we can confirm that Wonder Man's brother Eric Williams has...had some work done, as they say.
He's the one calling himself Grim Reaper, and he has a bone to pick with his brother.
|Wonder Man:||This is my fight. I'm ready to go.|
|Beast:||Far be it from me to question such a heroic declaration, but you were out cold less than five minutes ago, Simon. Are you sure you're ready?|
|Wonder Man:||HYDRA hit my company and blew up my building, and my brother is involved. I wouldn't recommend trying to stop me.|
|Nick Fury:||Target-rich environment out there, Agent. You'd better get started.|
Boss - Grim ReaperEdit
|Wonder Man:||The Grim Reaper. Eric never did have much in the way of creativity.|
|Beast:||This must have been hard on you, Simon. Great job keeping yourself together.|
|Wonder Man:||Yeah, well... thanks, Hank. He hasn't been himself in a long time. Maybe one of these days he'll figure that out.|
|Tony Stark:||Maybe so. HYDRA has a way of spitting people out if they're not sufficiently psychotic.|
|Wonder Man:||I hope so.|
|Tony Stark:||I think we can start returning some of your experimental materials back to your lab now. I brought them over here to protect them.|
|Vision:||I will convey them.|
|Wonder Man:||Thanks, Vision. I'll catch up, but I'm guessing Fury will want to debrief first.|
|Beast:||Not everyone exposed to Iso-8 or the MGH serum becomes a Test Subject. Some of them just die.
We've got people in trouble here. If you can get them to me, I can probably save them.
|Beast:||Okay, let's get these people into treatment. We have the technology, as the saying goes...|
|Beast:||I have a new serum antidote that can be administered in the field. The sooner you can pick it up, the sooner you can finish treating the Test Subjects.|
|Maria Hill:||We hear you loud and clear, Dr. McCoy. Someone's on the way.|
Mini-Boss - AvalancheEdit
|Maria Hill:||Incoming alert message from Beast. He's in one of Tony's labs near Avengers Tower. It sounds like he's in trouble.|
|Beast:||Avalanche has broken into the lab, along with a number of Test Subjects. I could use a little help here.|
|Maria Hill:||We're on the way.|
|Beast:||I sure hope so. They caught me unawares, as the expression goes, and I'm not sure how--|
Agent, drop what you are doing and get to Beast's lab. Hank Pym was working in another part of the complex. He'll be ready when you get there.
|Agent Coulson:||We still don't know where Beast is, and now we have lost Iceman as well.|
|Greetings again, Director Fury. And this is the rising star in your ranks, the Coulson we've all heard so much about.||Mr. Sinister:|
|Nick Fury:||Sinister. Xavier figured you were behind this.|
|Not by myself. Far be it from me to assume credit I have not earned. Allow me to introduce you--telepathically, of course--to the next stage of posthuman evolution.||Mr. Sinister:|
|The old must be destroyed. Sorry, friends. But evolution marches on. You brontosaurus. Us mammals. See you in museums.||Pestilence:|
|You thought we were powerful before? You don't know power. Most of you norms never will.||Death:|
|Marvelous, aren't they? Perhaps you'd like to meet their senior partner in this endeavor...||Mr. Sinister:|
|And now the pieces are all in place. A new age dawns, and a test begins... let us see who shall be found wanting.||Apocalypse:|
|Agent Coulson:||This isn't good, boss.|
|Nick Fury:||We need intel from all our teams. Then we'll know just how bad this situation is.
You stay here. I'll take a team back to New York.
Boss - PestilenceEdit
|Wolverine:||Hate to see you like this, Hank. But you don't go any farther long as I'm alive.|
|"...and he rode out as a conqueror bent on conquest."||Pestilence:|
|Wolverine:||You're gonna get bent all right.|
|"For the great day of their wrath has come, and who is able to stand?"||Pestilence:|
Mini-Boss - PestilenceEdit
|"And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men..."
"...and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains..."
|Storm:||But not your friends, Henry McCoy. We do not hide.|
|"And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth..."||Pestilence:|
|Tony Stark:||Hank, we have a job for you.|
|Tony Stark:||Not you. The other Hank.|
|Beast:||Let's hear it.|
|Tony Stark:||We shot down a Sentinel headed out of town and it was carrying these little vials. Mind telling us what's in them?|
|Beast:||I live only for the analysis of vials, Tony. You know that.|
|Beast:||This is strange. It's an Iso-8 serum, but it appears tailored to bond to reptilian DNA.|
|Tony Stark:||Are we going to be dealing with Iso-Geckos? Iso-Skinks?|
|Beast:||Well, that's the thing. I can tell the DNA used is reptilian, but it doesn't match any known living species. Curiouser and curiouser.|
|Nick Fury:||Let me get this straight. Avalanche supposedly wants out of the Brotherhood. But we can't find him.
A Sentinel army is going on a country-wide mutant massacre. But we don't know who's pulling the strings. Is there anything we DO know?
|Maria Hill:||The Brotherhood's being torn apart. The Sentinels might be part of that. Even if they aren't, Mr. Sinister's involvement can't be a coincidence. He's staking his claim to a new leadership role among mutants.|
|Nick Fury:||Prioritize finding out who's behind the Sentinel attacks. Stark and McCoy, you take some of the destroyed Sentinels apart and see if there are traces in their programming.|
|Nick Fury:||Our next stop is New York.|
Mini-Boss - BlobEdit
|Agent Coulson:||Blob has survived a Sentinel assault at this location. Let's see if they softened him up for us.|
|Beast:||I'll go if I may? I've been stuck in the middle of a lab full of Sentinel heads for days. I yearn to converse with anything organic.|
|Agent Coulson:||It's all yours.|
|Man, the Sentinels aren't bad enough. I have to deal with you, too?||Blob:|
|Beast:||This is a tangent, but I've been keeping my mind sharp doing anagrams lately, and you know what? Yours is an awfully tough name to form a good anagram from.|
|What's an anagram?||Blob:|
|Beast:||Oh, you know. Take some words, rearrange the letters, get other words.
Live, evil. Death, hated. Like that. Only 'Fred J. Dukes'... goodness, that one's not easy. The best I have so far is 'Dusk J. Freed.'
|Don't mess with my name!||Blob:|
|Beast:||Judder Fesk! That's the best I can do. Sounds like a Star Wars name.|
|Beast:||I hope I didn't hurt his feelings with the anagram thing, but once I got started thinking about it I couldn't stop.|
|Tony Stark:||Does Blob have feelings?|
|Maria Hill:||Do you?|
|Tony Stark:||No. At least that's what everyone tells me.|
|Phoenix:||I'm here, Hank. But if a lot of them come running, I might need a little help.|
|Beast:||Perfect. It worked like a charm. And Jean, you were also perfect--as always.|
|Phoenix:||You smooth talker.|
|Beast:||Inscrutable A.I.M. toys for me to decipher? I'm a kid in a candy store.|
|Beast:||Most of it's the usual A.I.M. gimcrackery: guns, force field projectors, typical weapons workshop flotsam.
But there are a couple of doodads here that look like they're meant for spatial disruption. Let me look into it more.
|Tony Stark:||Any signs of possession by a cosmic force? Parasitic alien life? Dizziness or shortness of breath?|
|Beast:||No ill effects whatsoever. I would venture to call this experiment an unmitigated success!|
|Mr. Fantastic:||I agree - the potential here is limitless. Agent - we will start synthesizing more Empowered Iso-8 immediately, but keep an eye open - there is no reason it can't occur naturally.|
|Tony Stark:||Hopefully the bad guys will get the ones with the side effects.|
|Beast:||I usually wouldn't be so presumptuous, but I believe we can make further use of the Isotope-8.|
|Mr. Fantastic:||We know that it takes on the properties of its surroundings. Dr. McCoy has been refining this reaction.|
|Beast:||I'm no stranger to change and the benefits it can unlock. By exposing Isotope-8 to the forces you have assembled here, Agent, we can further enhance the capabilities of your already impressive team.|
|Tony Stark:||In other words, space rocks that give us super powers. I'm sure there are no side effects to worry about.|
|Mr. Fantastic:||We are calling them Empowered Iso-8. Our simulations show that they will increase the combat capability of a hero considerably.|
|Beast:||Now, we just need a volunteer to test one on...|
